My boss wouldn't care if the snow was up to the 47th floor, I better not leave before 5 PM.

Hey Oryx, you're in my neck of the woods! How you like gray and wet winters? LOL

Mine, too. Western Washington is just generally crummy this time of year. It's not brutally cold and snowy like the midwest, but it's cold, drizzly, gray and dreary. You just need to find stuff to do inside or take up a completely sadistic hobby like steelhead fishing where you embrace hypothermia and the risk of drowning in frigid rivers for the opportunity to break your ankles on slippery rocks, fall down a steep hillside in the mud, get chased by bears and not catch any fish. Good times.

If it was up to the 47th floor, you could just climb out the window. He'd never see you leave.

Heh, gives me times to fool around more in SL, that's for sure. In AZ, I always felt slightly guilty if it was sunshiny and I wasn't outside. Of course, down there in the summer time, we all retreat indoors to escape that same sun! :p

It's almost 5 (time to go home) and it's still miserable outside.......I don't know how many times I've told myself, soon I'll be on a sunny beach with a bikini on in SL :)

I agree, and since I'm in Washington, she can't be THAT far away.

ROAD TRIP!

Actually, a PNW get together would be sort of fun. I should post in the meets and get-togethers forum. I think there's a handful of us here.

I just moved to Oregon from Arizona and I haven't seen the sun in over a week. :( I think I'm going through withdrawal...

Oh crap, you too. I moved back to Oregon 3 years ago. From Southern Oregon but am now in Northern.. It rains 40 inches a year here. I hate it and I let everyone know too. Used to live in Prescott, where are you from. Six years of those crazy drivers there was enough for me. They don't even know how to drive in the rain let along the snow. It snows there more than it does here.

If you think the driving was bad in Prescott, you should see what happens when we get our once a decade snow in Tucson.

Dang, I used to spend a lot of time on Whidby. Fishing for salmon, crabbing and claming in the sound. I really miss it, can I come and live with you. I promise to be a good girl and not try to give you any kisses IRL...

Fricken ^%$# Snow!!!

I have been thinking all afternoon of what to say. Maybe some silly romantic post to "warm you up." Unfortuantly I don't think would do anything but anoy you and still you would be stuck in the ice and snow and pissed off to boot. But if you ever feel like trading in the words best pizza for graet Mexican food, Texas is still building, booming and needing people to fill jobs. Just a thought.

How can anyone dislike snowflakes? They're so cute. Although, by February, even I am getting over all this fluffy stuff. Can't wait to be able to take my socks off and run around in flip-flops.

OMG I have to say that Portland drivers are sooooo scary. In AZ, it's every driver for himself/herself, people drive like maniacs, and we all get out of each other's way. Things move along quite well. HERE, though, it's like people just sort of tool along, looking out the windows, and not paying attention to other drivers. I don't think I've ever seen people merge into traffic quite so blindly as they do here. *shudder*

I second that! I was scared of the drivers in Chicago...........when your light turns green, you better wait at least a min or so for five more cars to run the red before going.........but people out here in P-town........grrrrr!!! I do my best to keep calm and fight the urge of Road Rage, but sometimes............oh....sometimes, the red creeps in behind the eyes!!! :D Seriously though, drivers out here are extreme on both sides there, the pokey tools or the crazy speed freaks that damn near scrape your bumper at 80 mph, there doesn't seem to be an in between. A bit frustrating!

Oh honey, thats just because they won't run you off the road here. They slow down and let you in. Now in AZ they tried to run me off the road because I was only going 10 mph over the speed limit. If they didn't try to knock me in the ditch they would just flip me off. It's live or die in AZ, no middle ground. Scottsdale has the worst red light deaths in history. Salem here.
