This has happened to me a few times. I just put it down to lag, but maybe not lol.
I have had several "traveling" experiences: Once I somehow fell off a "cloud" and continued to rise in spite of every effort to stop....re-logging, re-loading, punching computer, etc. I swear I ended up in orbit around Neptune until it ceased 40 minutes later.... My most recent episodes have been with being sent in a downward walk into the bowels of SL "Earth" with no means of stopping. Never a dull moment when traveling in this world! Snap on both counts lol. When I try to fly, sometime (flight feather or no) I seem to either sink or rise, and not be able to do anything about it. I've also had a few problems with the walking down through the floor thing. Always fun  _____________________

If you just keep walking you´ll resurface.Bit off topic, but one of my favourite music venues is spread across a couple of sims. At the broder crossing they have a sign that says something like "warning, troll lurking below, he may try to drag you down, but just keep walking". I love that one  _____________________

I have no idea who Joni Mitchell is, and I say that after first looking on Wiki. 'Both Sides Now' is one of the most beautiful songs in the world ever. Its definately high on my list of songs to sob quietly to. Btw, if anybody ever wants to sob quietly to music - my list is brilliant. I sometimes appear in the air high above the ground when I TP to somewhere new and strange. I kinda like it - like a wierd dream. When I land I always feel like sobbing quietly. |

I'm beginning to wonder if when we teleport somewhere we kind of start at a higher altitude and then lower if it's clear. I'm just thinking of a couple of teleports last night where I wasn't quick off the mark to move and ended up with people landing on top of me. Someone did it at the hangout just the other night. I wonder if Bradley is rezzing too quick!!! That's it!! You need some more lag!

Btw, if anybody ever wants to sob quietly to music - my list is brilliant. I sometimes appear in the air high above the ground when I TP to somewhere new and strange. I kinda like it - like a wierd dream. When I land I always feel like sobbing quietly. I take that challenge, PM me your list, I'd like to define brilliant for myself..... i only seem to experience this falling when teleporting from a land search result or from a slurl. its a recent thing as well.

I'm also having TP issues.....not just the "plummeting from a great height" one but also the "missing the target by a mile" problem, especially when linking from SLURLs.
/me is fed up of hitting the ground at 100mph - such an embarrassing way to arrive at a club /me is also sick of trekking halfway across a sim to find the actual TP point I wanted.. |
