Necroposting is the art of digging up old threads to the front page with an often irrelevant reply, solely to annoy people.

From: Dekka Raymaker Finally, we are going to increase the prim count for Openspaces. They will become exactly a quarter of the normal 15000 prim limit for a region, so they will be set at 3750 (to date they have been limited to 1875 prims)."
LL has already increased the number of prims on Openspaces to 3750.

What does it matter if the thread is so called "necro posted". Information can be still be exchanged related to the topic and "necro post" does not automatically mean the thread is outdated and the information no longer valid.
Seems fine to me.

From: Alicia Sautereau wtf is it with these increasing number of necro`s? Well, it kinda came out of Japanese culture, and anime, and really has exploded in popularity in SL. Seems I come across folks with ears an tails all the time. Oh... Necro's. Nevermind Mari Littella

Post to an old thread and people whine about necroposting. Start a new one about a topic that was talked about 3 months ago and they whine about people not reading through the old threads. Might as well toss a coin, someone's going to find a way to complain about whatever you do.

From: Colette Meiji I am electing to complain about this complaint of how people will always complain. I'd like to complain about your complex complaints, they are too confusing. Please keep them simple so other complainers can properly complain about them.

Well, complaining about people who complain about your complaining about people complaining that other people will complain is only going to lead to further complaints. So I would suggest instead complaining about something constructive, like the fact that SL isn't Eurocentric, or maybe that all Americans are rude.

With sculpted prims, windlight env-shader and soon mono-compiler, I lack arguments against openspace sims, other than renting any land as cheap as for 1L$ per prim per week anywhere where it fits better.

From: Broccoli Curry I wouldn't want to rent one - for the same reason that I wouldn't want to rent any land from anyone, nothing personal you understand - but I would consider owning one. It's a pity that LL don't allow people to buy them individually as I think there would be quite a market for people who want some land to spread out on and terraform/landscape - but for various reasons can't afford a whole region (and let's face it, without some form of commercial activity, how many of us can?)
Broccoli This would be my answer also. It's not about not wanting one, as I do very badly at this point. It's about wanting to deal directly with LL, and foregoing the inherant risks that come with going through a 3rd party. Definately NOT personal as I wouldn't rent land from anyone, not even from someone as stable and well established as Desmond. Now, If I can BUY one straight from LL then I'm all over it like yesterday, but until that day comes I have to sit and wait. /me gives a lil bump-n-grind to the necro thread cuz it still applies

The original sim owner has to pay tier to LL and the new sim owner pays the original purchaser.
