Starax pieces for sale?

So... Anybody have any?

I have some of his ol' freebies, but none of the spendy pieces

I also should mention that I have heard of more than a few faked Starax pieces out there. Buyer beware, I s'pose.

TY. I think I've got all the freebies (found the web tonight! (which I never even knew existed)) but there seems to be nothing else around.

I would love to find a copy of Drowned or Goliath for sale. I'm not uberrich - hopefully somebody won't mind being paid in sheep.

/me hopes everybody didn't take all his stuff down to prevent it from being copied. Guess I could understand that but the grid would be a less beautiful place without his works spread around in random places.

The blackwater region has a lot of his stuff. There's a number of pieces in the SL Louvre too.

edit edit: and, to actually answer your question, he was a really, really great builder. Left SL in 2006, just before I joined (jerk! ), came back with an alt to do a bunch of really cool stuff for www.rezzable.com in SL, then left again..

Don't buy any because 95% of his things in circulation are copybot items. Only buy something if you know the seller very very well and are sure the things he or she has are legit.

There are some pieces for free on xstreet you can get.

I don't have the SLURLs handy, but Drowned was in Hollywood sim, and Achilles owned by one of the Lindens (Pathfinder, I believe) and displayed on Linden land. Sorry I don't have more specifics.

Do a search in this forum, there was a list a while ago with locations on it. Won't be 100% up-to-date, but it should help you.

Expect to pay several hundred USD for an authentic Starax (other than a few that are freebies).

Achiles is at the entrance to the SL Louvre. Think it's in the thompson region - just search/places. They also have the giant blue/green statue nearby - it's too big to fit into the Louvre but if you fly around the building, you can't miss it. There's a copy of Drowned at Blackwater, too.

/me scored one early this year. Not 100% sure it wasn't copybotted but I took a pretty close look at it and if it was a copy, it wasn't made by some trained monkey - Inspect looked good enough for me to pay for it. Also one of these (and a few others) at the Louvre.

There's also a guy that has a bunch of land in both Bay City and Nautilus and has a ton of Starax bits lying around. One of the very few places I've seen Goliath. Maybe Mari knows where the Bay City locale, on Nautilus, start at the SE-most sim and fly W. It's a few regions or so in..

I was away from SL for 2 1/2 years. When I was here before I pretty much stayed on my land building, scripting, and holding events. These days I sit around chatting with friends and playing games in world. I need to look up my old tats and jewelry in my inventory come to think of it.

After watching the YouTube vid I do recall this builder. I ran into his work right after building this...



Needless to say I was not as proud of my endeavor as before seeing his work.

I believe there was an exploit, and some copybotted Starax items were created that even had all the correct timestamps in Inspect, matching the ones from the originals. If so, they are literally indistinguishable from the real thing... but there is also no rarity value anymore.

i have the "Spirit of Pegasus V1.1 which i bought, with him there. had a fabulous chat with him and i wish i had more money at the time to buy more. has to be the best yet in Sl to date

Second Louvre Museum is already closed. I just paid it a quick visit, and it is gone. Anyone know why? The land is all owned by a group called "Alchoholic's Paradise", and it is empty.

There used to be a lot of Starax pieces in Da Boom. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but until my 'puter is repaired I'm logging in for a few minutes to collect IMs etc, then crashing.

There is an open-enrollment in-world group of this name.

do you have the goldfish that goes in it? I've got that if you want to complete it.

I saw drowned years ago and didn't realise it was a starax at the time but it moved me.
