Make a box, hollow it, make it look convincing, then find the L$ note graphic, put them in the box, put some text on the box saying "Free L$ Inside", Make the box physical and place it on any busy place where newbies are likely to frequent then sit back and watch them throw te box around trying to get the prim money out, serious lolz and roflcopters.

Do any of you have any SL funnies?

Yes you can meet me InWorld !

I like to play with you, put you in a box, add some hover text and put you in a busy place - sit back and watch what happens

Why would you want to do this to someone who is new to sl? Sounds kind of mean to me...

Wasn't that long ago that the OP was a noob. He must still have "issues" from his SL childhood.

Yup.. about as funny as stealing a neighbor's wireless signal, and then complaining that the internet was slow.

So... griefing people...

Hopefully, someone will notice who made it, and AR you.

This isn't WoW. We're not trying to actively get people to leave SL here, and 'going after noobs,' while it may happen, is not a part of the accepted culture from what I've seen.

Or complaining that "somehow" his bank account got ripped off.

More funny is making an invisible hollowed box and place it around yours :D

Yep used to do that regularly with 50cent pieces when we lived at the pub, outside the main bar, we used industrial adhesive Locktite, so they had to use a hammer and screwdriver to get it off, taking some footpath cement with it.
Funny to watch people kicking it, prying at it with their keys and trying not to look like a desperate vagrant at the same time. The record was one coin lasting 3 days. Someone would always seem to come back late at night with the tools to get it.

I hate to say my first thought was this would be funny, as many people may look at their L$0 starting balance and figure they need to find money inworld, and this was one of the ways they got it. They wouldn't realise L$1 they are embarassing themselves for is about 2 cents US$.
If it were habitual campers then I have no remorse, perhaps even it could inspire a sport based camping system? You have to hold the ball for 10 seconds to get paid, but you drop the ball if you get bumped by another AV and the pot goes up L$1 per minute?

Poor Chaos. Shot down again.
/throws a woolen blanket over and douses the flames.
I reckon it IS a funny thing. It's a prank, not griefing.

The fun police are taking over the planet. Can't there be some fun around, the world sucks badder and badder as it is.

How on earth can this be considered 'griefing'? I thought it was funny and even as a newbie I would have found it funny. Puerile jokes can sometimes be the funniest simply because of the puerility quotient.

Full marks for the dopey mot-valise, roflcopters, which had me rotating on the floor laughing my ass off.

For months and months I've had a dozen or so gold bars on the floor downstairs at the Egotherapy Centre. It is always open to the public and as far as I know, nobody has tried to take any!!!

The OP is a noob and always will be. NOOB is a state of mind, not an age. Newbs are new to a place, they want to learn and contribute.

See the above post of typical noobness.

I must be one of the sick ones or it was a worse week at work that I thought cuz I actually do think the OP's idea is funny.

Though I would probably save it for a spot where the noobs often show up naked with an extra huge attachment rather than just any noob gathering spot.
