From: Nic Writer Sredni, I've seen what look like some really good events at your club, but it's a little late for my time frame. Yeah, unfortunately we don't have much in the afternoons, though my friend Anya will sometimes play there about noon on sundays and mondays. Most of my stuff happens around 7pm slt, with an occasional 5pm slot at RGB Club. I also try to post the afternoon gigs I play at the Lovecraft Sim, though they haven't had any parties in a while.

The Hidden is a rock music club that has events from 10am-8pm SLT daily. It's a very friendly club and there are always people there - generally between 10 and 20. They are tenants of mine, I don't go to clubs much but every time I go to that sim to update tier boxes etc., it's busy. The owner is super nice and it seems to be drama free. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Twilight%20Tears/67/218/25

Hm, 7pm actually isn't too bad. For some reason, I thought I remembered the ones I saw here starting at 9pm SL, which is a bit too late. I'll keep a better eye out. Our hours are 11am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and during that time there are always people there and conversation to be had. Weekends and off hours I don't think there's usually anyone there.

Danni,
I've always found the Violet Welcome area to be friendly and more importantly populated.
An upside is that the regulars seem to be predominantly from the UK and/or Australia/New Zealand, so you're almost always guaranteed a chat even when the rest of SL is dead.
Also areas which provide a solid communal identity are normally populated and the areas I've explored always make me feel welcome even when it's obvious I don't necessarily "belong".
One place in particular is Transylvania. Everytime I've visited there is a DJ and a group of friendly people who are quite willing to talk with me even though I'm very obviously not one of the undead! It's not a RP area (as far as I know), so you're quite safe.
I'm still in the exploring phase myself, so I'm sure there are loads more I've not found yet.

From: Dawnee Swansong But apart from that ...? Re the Forum Hangout ... I've been there several times and waited for an hour plus ... and only seen other people there once. Now if I could just get the Hangout HUD attached to my ZHAO II or Mystitool ... but having problems with that ... any help would be appreciated! There should be a hangout hud script plugin for mystitool on the freebie shelves area in the hangout

The 9pm thing is on Saturdays only. Most nights I start at 7pm, which is a bit more reasonable. Saturdays are late because my host can't make it before that time, and we try to be flexible for staff.
