From: Pyrite Sopwith I'd really like to know how to use the Money Trees in SL. Can veteran members (not just newbies) pick money off the tree and still collect a lot?
My sister, Danielle, told me she did touch and collect "dollar bills" while scuba diving in a SL region - and she did it fully clothed!
Back to the Money Tree, does the money exist on the tree all the time or is it only loaded during certain periods of the day? Is there competition involved?
I must try it out on a near-daily basis and see what results will occur over time. Money trees generally can only be harvested by avatars less than 30 days old. Once harvested, the money on a tree takes a while to "grow back". There used to be ways to game this...gadgets that would tell their users where there were ripe trees, and a location that used to have a list of the LMs for all the trees in SL. But I don't know if these are still in operation.

I would love a job that paid 50 to 90L hour or 1000L a day while I am sleeping, socializing, create or learning to create things while making new friends but that just doesn't exist any more. FD I remember you and camping whilst playing Scramble... ah I miss Scramble. Way back when, I caught a guy at a casino that was camping that had over 10k in totals showing up. |

Way back when, I caught a guy at a casino that was camping that had over 10k in totals showing up. What exactly is "Scramble"? Another way to make lindens? If it is a game similar to the Jumble puzzles found in many RL newspapers (sans the punch line), I'm game! |

If it is a game similar to the Jumble puzzles found in many RL newspapers (sans the punch line), I'm game! Scramble was a way to make 1L (some places may have offered more) per correctly spelled jumbled up word in chat. I'm not sure if they even offer it anymore. It made for a lot of laughs trying to guess some of the words. |

I have recently found a use for a certain type of camping -- sometimes I see an camp chair in a store for an outfit that I like, but am not really sure it is worth the money they want for it. I will make note of those places and then when I am doing some RL chores or just sorting inventory, going thru group notices, or misc IMing with friends, I will go camp for outfit -- it sure beats just sitting or standing in my house while I do these mundane things.

My "sister," Danielle did exactly that last Saturday - she camped for 2 hours straight, and got her "reward" of a new hairstyle. Not to mention I did the same thing a few weekends ago, and got myself a new appealing outfit for my 15 minutes of camping. |
