Maybe I can get Grendel's Children to design the alien avs (green men, and the white apes) and the thoat and zitidar "vehicle" animals. Zooby's could do the martian warhounds. We'll need a skin maker to come out with a line for the "red men" of Mars...or maybe there are some existing ethnic skins out there that would serve. As for egg-laying...YOU do it if you want to. I want to become oviparous about as much as I want to become pregnant with a prim baby. But let's not start yolking around until we've worked out the hard-boiled details. To do this, I'd need a consortium of, say, ten investors, each willing to put up about US$ 200 for the private island and its development, and willing to lay out US$20 a month in tier. After construction, the investors could live on the sim themselves, or rent out their share to tenants. Some of them, at least, should be builders, wanting to try their hand at constructing Helium, a green Martian war camp, an atmosphere plant, the Lost Sea of Korus, some underground areas, fliers (small and large), and at least a couple of fairly extensive skybox builds (aforementioned underground areas, Evil Overlord Strongholds, and one of the Moons of Mars). And does anybody know how to script a gadget to allow Earthmen visiting Barsoom to experience the reduced gravity and air pressure? A "jumper", if you will? If anyone's interested in exploring this further, IM me. If we get enough serious players, maybe we can do it. a "jumper" would just be a modified flight assist. I can't wait to see all the jeweled body harnesses. Dibs on making the flyers. Now I have to dig up the old paperbacks. Come to think of it, my scoutship's not far off from a light flyer. Now to find a source of the 8th Barsoomian Ray...... |

Thank you all! That was a fun afternoon spent when I ought have been doing my RL job thingee
 The privateer space sim was beautiful! Nearly got swept up by that tornado (and me without my ruby slippers). Fortunately, the locals were friendly, and introduced me to the glowing mushroom patch, where I befriended a cute little Thoat:  The underground caverns were amazing, but there wasn't too much room to go sailing. But the Avaria Kro sim Markubis mentioned had plenty of room there. I think this was near Grendle's children, which would explain the flying lizards I saw in the distance!  Truly hope Lindal gets Mars off the ground (so to speak), for things like this are what make SL such a tremendously fun place  _____________________

This SLURL will take you to a scale model of the Mars planet surface and a simulation of an asteroid impact. That was actually pretty amazing. My partner and I sat and watched the world end before bedtime. We tried to go into the crater, but it's covered by a non-phantom platform. _____________________

One of the lower levels in Privateer Space has an awesome Mars build. Everyone should look at it, IMO. I finally got to Privateer Space last night-- wow. Just, wow. Gotta go back as soon as I can, too much to see at once! It just blew me away. I haven't made it to Mars yet, but I did fly up through the gas cloud and get shot at by a police drone. I agree, everyone should see that place... the level of detail is just amazing. _____________________

I wasn't able to get the police ship to accept my "click" after I found one that said "click here to join the police". Great thread. _____________________

I just visited this place called Privateer Space that one of my friends showed me that knows the builder and owner of it.
It is incredible build of several places. They have Mars Base with red mountains, best seen at draw distance at 256 plus. Red tornado and ground even area underground. Free lizards to have, that you can ride and much more even area underground with Martian caves and library. I don't have url on me at the moment I post a image and something later. Um reviews others response never mind I guess the secret is already out. _____________________

I finally made it down to Mars last night... haven't gotten to the other planets yet, but soon! It was great, I had a huge amount of fun exploring the underground area and being blown around by the tornado. The lizards are pretty cool, too... the added 'hoofbeat' sound is a nice touch. The attention to detail in that sim just continues to amaze me.

Or are you talking about what we call G-strings We in the USofA call the things worn on the feet flip-flops or, oddly, thongs (yes, I have heard them referred to that way; and let me tell you, you don't want to hear your mother going on and on about walking on beashes and something about thongs (in this case it involved the item worn on the feet; I'm sure you can wear the other item on your feet but it would be difficult to do)). Small very brief articles of clothing worn tightly on the waist can be called thongs here, even rubber ones. G-strings are the very super micro ones, though. As in, A: "Wow, check out the g-string thong on that 300 pound pasty pale wobblying woman." B: "Dude . . dude . . oh my . . dude don't point . . . I'm going to be ill . . are you sure she is wearing a g-string?" A: "I'm going to be ill." Here, strippers and g-strings seem to go together quite well. The phrase "G-spots", on the other hand, involves . . . To be completely accurate, though, the above quote would likely have been "check out that g-string on that . . . " or "check out that g-string bikini on that", or "check out that micro bikini on that". _____________________

Mars, the planet? I got confused with seeing ocean and ships. NASA is working on a Mars sim--made of entirely sculpties at full size...very impressive, and very slick. I was invited to see it under construction when I met the gentleman in charge at a movie sim I was working on. I'm not sure it's out yet, but it was pretty damn cool. Last I know the build was way up in the sky. Yup Took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, but you can see it at explorer island at about 650 meters altitude. Only about 1/3 actual size unfortunately. VRML would have been a better platform for NASA outreach  |
