JUST GOT THIS IN WORLD From: someone [22:09] Second Life: There is an issue with a central server which is affecting approximately 1/16 of all Second Life residents. Affected residents are currently unable to login, and those who are already inworld may show as offline, and can expect to experience disruption of inworld services such as IM. Additionally 1/16th of all objects will currently not receive email, and 1/16th of all groups will not be able to use Group Chat. Please monitor the Grid Status Reports page, status.secondlifegrid.net, for updates as they become available.

Nobody like the current state of the game. or how they operated it. Let alone the crappy Support system and a few of its staff.

Yeah - I was out shopping and got the all clear. But I didn't get the pop up about there being a problem. That's REALLY unsettling when you've been buying stuff.

havent spent much to with support have you? I've spent time with support. But the question does make sense. In the same way asking it of those at SWG why they stuck around when the game changed from what they wanted. If a game changes to the point you no longer enjoy it why would you stay? If a company can not provide the support and service you want, why continue to use the service?

Enjoy Your Second Life.......... If why you signup to start with right... We do Why don't you quit and leave SL entirely if the experience is not a pleasant one? Is that such a hard question to answer?

Enjoy Your Second Life.......... If why you signup to start with right... If you spent half as much time actually in SL as you do trolling the blogs & forums, you might be credible but no more comprehendable

I'll answer it from my own perspective. There's enough good things to make you want to wait for it to improve, I mean it has to, doesn't it ?....but then enough bad to make you grind your teeth sometimes. I think the happy bar definitely declines over time related to level of involvement and monetary investment, but not complaining about it doesn't really make it go away and allows a person to vent.

You express displeasure and they jump to the Linden's defense with the ever snappy comback of 'if you hate how things go, leave!' comments. He is one of these 'defend the lab, attack angry customers' types, for which the common term is 'fanboy'. These types cannot seem to understand the idea of liking the game, hating how its run...apparently assuming if you detest the lindens it means you detest the game. For those of us not vacuum-attached to the posterior of the lab, its a no-brainer why we stay. We like Second Life. We don't like the fact the Lindens are utterly incompetent (problems occur, are marked [resolved] and then reoccur, sometimes the same day....not a mark of competence) at everything but PR spin and Torley-style 'sunshine and flowers' posts.

Makes ya kinda wonder why pom-poms arent a part of our basic Library folder. I stay in the hope it will improve however I doubt it but there is that tiny flicker of hope.

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together, Brighter than a lucky penny, When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear, And I feel so fine just to know that you are mine.
My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, That's how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!
Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, Everything that's wonderful is sure to come your way When you're in love to stay.

You know what, we are all not very different. I cannot think of anyone here who has given LL a pass on every issue. I certainly haven't, and I don't recall MortVent of having a record of being "so defensive of LL that you'd think he owned stock." But Usagi and some others are all piss and vinegar and use every opportunity to bash the company, even when the company had nothing to do with the subject. Example: a news piece on autism and SL. She blamed LL's PR. Funny, not a single Linden was to be found in the piece, which seemed to be the result of some study. That's because they had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. But Usagi still fired away, blaming LL for a cheap PR piece that stereotyped autism and didn't present facts correctly. Did she care? No. She was too busy getting her righteous anger on. I can think of only ONE TIME Usagi has had any kind of positive thing to say in the last several months. One. And it was on the blog. I am certainly not satisfied with the status quo, but I can at least give credit where it is due. Her bitterness is almost unmatched. It is only rivaled by Rebecca's. It is more than logical to wonder why she stays around, when every single thing out of her mouth save one is negative.
