My Partner and my friend has been showing up as offline all the time as of late, even when she is right infront of me. It seems as though it started after the failed server upgrade from a few weeks back and it has been so very annoying. So has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it? Or is it something that the Linden's have to fix?

I thought maybe you have the same ghost problem as I have friends appear to be online or there infront of me but aren't...
Friend list has been acting funny for months. I have no clue why I assume it something within the client. _____________________

I'd submit a bug report, it sure sounds like a bug issue to me. Only other thing I can think of to do is to re-set all the Preference settings. Hope this gets solved for your friend very soon.

I apparently was showing as online at 2am GMT. At 2am GMT my PC was switched off and I was having a very weird dream about chewing gum cars. Weird all round really. _____________________

Were the chewing gum cars showing as online? /me just shudders at the bizarre rubbish knocking around in my head when *I* am offline in an horizontal manner. The chewing gum cars were probably sent back to the sim when the asset server didn't respond in a timely manner ... _____________________

The majority of the weekend my partner couldn’t edit any of my furniture I dropped... Ugh, all I did was move ONE chair in the wrong place
 Anyway, I found removing her editing of my objects rights and giving them back cleared that up.The IM trick to kick a ghost off works sometimes; I’ve also heard you have to go so far as a Sim restart to remove others. |

The web page on here is giving me wrong information as to which friends are on line. I've not thought the contacts list in world was wrong though.
Back to OP had your friend set her contacts list so that her contacts could not see she was on line. ( I've been known to do it with annoying contacts.) Love June |

This bug was around a lot yesterday. My partner was showing offline but IMing me. He couldn't get my replies and the IM window gave me the "User offline" message. He relogged once and that fixed it for a while, then we tp'd and back it came again.
When we've seen this in the past, an IM between us usually fixed it, but not this time. Of course this is not a bug! SL doesn't have them. It's probably because I have an unsupported video card (I believe that's the stock answer). _____________________
