Hi, I am Anne Juran from Holland.
Can someone explain to me the following:
Since the new release of SL 1.19.0 (5) I get a different inlog screen when I want to enter SL. Usually I could make a choice about start location (home, or last location, or other location) before even going in SL. Also I could give the message to empty my cache before actually going into SL.
These preferences are no longer reachable when I am not "in world". What happened? And how can I get those possibilities back again?

Besides, and this issue I have for a much longer period, I cant seem to watch "friends online" at the Linden website as I was suppose too. Did this also changed?
Can it have anything to do with new policy about being a basic member in stead of a premium member?

Thanks in advance,
Cheers, Anne Juran

Hi, Anne - Welcome to the forums. You can still reach the things you describe. At the very top of your login screen click on Edit. You will see Preferences as the only option. Select it.

In Preferences on that first tab you'll see the checkbox option to make your login location visible on your login screen. You can also empty cache in Preferences.

And yes, the Friends Online list on the web site has been unreliable for a while now.

Cheers - Scott

The option to show the boxes that allow to choose where you log in is in the preferences window, I think on the general tab. Seems to be off by default in the new viewer.

The friends online list on the website seesm to be broken in several ways lately, and seems to produce a list that may be accurate and current or may be several hours or days out of date. What result you get when you click on the friends online link seems to be completely random.

Scott thank you for explaining! I kept looking for this (missing) button below at the screen, but your right. Via edit are all those options available.

Thanks for explaining, and also for confirm about the friends-online-list.

Want to hear something truly bizarre about the friends online list on the SL website? WhenI log onto it from my home PC, I get the exact same three friends regardless of who is online (Hi, Lindal, Lexxi and Oryx!). It's like the page is cached and it won't bring up anything else. I've cleared the cache, cleared history, cleared stored IE pages, everything, and when I do that, shut down IE, fire it back up, and go to friends online, I get an updated list, but if I hit refresh, it pops back to the same three people. How weird is that?

Ditto. I may as well print out a screengrab and stick it on my monitor and save electricity.
