There's an easy enumeration so that saves times :p.

From: someone
+ // reasons for auto-unmuting a resident
+ enum EAutoReason
+ {
+ AR_IM = 0, // agent IMed a muted resident
+ AR_MONEY = 1, // agent paid L$ to a muted resident
+ AR_INVENTORY = 2, // agent offered inventory to a muted resident
+ AR_COUNT // enum count
+ };
+
"Money" seems to include paying an object (unmutes the owner of the object).

And there is notification:
From: someone
[FIRST] [LAST] was sent an instant message and has been automatically unmuted.
[FIRST] [LAST] was given money and has been automatically unmuted.
[FIRST] [LAST] was offered inventory and has been automatically unmuted.

There is a problem with how they implemented this. :(

I muted a group spammer, and now every time I chat in the group, they are unmuted. I don't consider chatting in a group someone happens to also be in "Direct Interaction". Should I open a JIRA about this, or comment on the existing JIRA, do you think?

Edit, I just went ahead and reopened the JIRA. they need to fix this.

I'll wait and see what they say on the original JIRA. no sense cluttering it up more than it already is I think.

Once when I went shopping in a rather X rated mall, I had a guy running after me for quite a while and eventually demanding me to put on busy mode and change my group tag to something like "I'm shopping", so other folks would be "warned". Well, I much prefered using the mute option on him.

The saddest part of it was that the guy actually claimed to be a RL psychiatrist in his profile.

To all who perhaps dont know what SLEX exchange is, when you buy from slex using the funds available to you, IF your inworld at the time, NEVER put yourself in BUSY mode, the transaction will fail.

Sometimes, When you go off being busy, you might still get it, but not normally! I had to order something twice the other day, its so easy to go busy while your shopping in Slex, and see something and forget u left SL running on Busy. If u order the same thing again, there is a chance that u may get two of the same thing. Depends if the first transaction took your money, most traders are honest, and I have had Ims from traders giving me a freebie or another product, or even a refund for the failed transaction.....!!

So always follow up a transaction that failed because u were in busy!

This info is for newbies who may not know about SLEX....mind u Im no newbie now, and still forgot the damn busy!! lol

I don't use Busy at all I don't think. If I don't feel like answering a call, I don't. Just like in RL.

I don't think I've ever used Busy mode. If I'm busy I log off.

i shop with "get out of my way i am shopping mode* on..

seriously though..
when i shop i really don't need busy cause that is one of the few times when i don't multi task anymore..i concentrate on my shopping and ignore the rest of the world..

it's a time for peace and quiet and serenity..most people know if i am not answering i am shopping or building anyways..lol

Hmm.... what an interesting topic this is. Wonder why no one ever asked this before, huh?

Must be a slow day.

Well done though, Ricardo, you instantly made it more exciting.
