"Cartoon nasty" *is* the main reason I bother with SL... But I wouldn't pay for it.

Why? Because that wasn't the understanding when I joined. I already pay to play in many respects as I am one of the worthless NPIOF users who has a parcel on an estate. Tiers, texture upload fees, furniture.. These all have taken money out of my RL bank account and into others SL accounts, with LL taking their cut along the way I'm sure.

I've seen problems in the past where people seem to be under the impression they're entitled to sex/ "adult content" because they've paid to use the service. This *is* what would happen in adult areas if people were forced to pay to engage in such activities, and it would cause too much drama for me to be interested.

And perhaps most importantly to me, I'm already seeing a minority who consider us "freebie accounts" underserving of a moments consideration, we apparently contribute nothing to the economy and so have no place to be on the grid. Making free accounts actually different in terms of content access will do nothing to reduce the friction between the elitist classes and the people who simply want to enjoy SL and see no need (or lack the ability, those "only a few" dollars still add up) to hand over financial information and monthly lumps of cash to do so.

I'd lay odds that the idea has already crossed a few minds in the marketing dept, if not open discussed.
I saw an ad on xstreet for a RL jeweler targeted specifically at SL Residents. I think an ad supported client is most certainly in the future of SL.

If LL decided to make Adult Content Premium Only, would you Pay to Play?

I've been premium for a long while, so it makes no difference to me.

Why would anyone pay LL for something that is provided entirely by other residents?

I'm not going to vote, I'm already premium, do "adult" stuff, AND I really really like pie.

Just my two cents though, it's not the pose balls, xcite, big male members, or any of those other props that make adult play in SL good, they are mere props to help set the scene.

What counts are the words you use, painting a picture in your playmates mind of what is going on, How can LL prevent you "talking" to someone?

As a Lifetime account i expect access to whatever upper levels they create to separate the masses and I am looking forward to seeing how they handle us Lifers & Charter members.

If all 4 of my official alts were also verified by the one premium it would be good.
This might also help curb the infinite anoymous alts problems, at least in the adult continent anyway.

Like many, I'm already premium (twice!) so it wouldn't change things. If I weren't premium, I doubt that I'd make the leap just for adult content. Of course, that comes from the perspective of already having tried adult content and realising it wasn't anything special. Especially as only advertised and promoted adult content will be restricted: the stuff you come up with in private and IM will remain accessible, and has always been much more fun.

I'd make my own Adult Content.

They might as well declare abominable "rocks, oysters, accordions, garlic, crop rotation, the smell of beets, people with red hair, shirts with three buttons, babies, chocolate, and the color blue".

And I'm already Premium!

And the god Nuggan waxed wroth, and did abominate ferrets, and weasels, and polecats, Yea, and all alike to their kind.
