Premium only Adult Content?

I already have a premium account, so it doesn't make a huge difference to me.

I would not, however, upgrade alts to premium to do so, and would probably cut back my spending through those accounts significantly.

Was doubting between i don't care about poseballplay and pie, this account is already premium so I get free pie already but my army of alts waiting to take over the world want their pie too and not pay for it.

I'd pay, because the seamier side of SL is half the reason I joined in the first place. I don't do that at all, really, anymore, but if I did, I'd want the option to still exist, so I'd pay for it. Like someone else said in the other thread, $72/year is twice the cost of a delivery pizza plus an order of wings and a bottle of Diet Coke.

I'm not sure I'd upgrade to Premium if I was a Basic account, but there you have it. It's a matter of what you want in your SL.

Absolutely not. Now, I'm not into the adult stuff in SL, really. Maybe occasionally, but very rarely, so it's not a hugely important factor, but even if it were I think not. If I'm going to pay for porn, it's not going to involve slightly disformed dicks penetrating stomachs and so on. I'd much rather spend the money on porn that looks good, rather than SL-porn, which looks like crap, in my opinion.

Also, I don't like that you used 'if' in the OP. It makes it sound like there's been some Linden talk of it, while (Unless I'm very mistaken) there's been nothing of the sort. Not really much else to choose from on how to word it, but it still seems too rumor-causing. Random people will read, think it's being talked about, tell their friends, cause more grid drama, etc.

I have a premium account but, if I didn't have one, right now I wouldn't get one just for the sake of the adult stuff, because I'm not interested in adult stuff - used to be, but not for a very long time. BUT...

If I didn't have a premium account, and I was suddenly cut off from potential adult activities, I might well be tempted to get a premium account. It's like anything else - what you don't have is what you want the most.

I'd make my own Adult Content.

They might as well declare abominable "rocks, oysters, accordions, garlic, crop rotation, the smell of beets, people with red hair, shirts with three buttons, babies, chocolate, and the color blue".

I'm not sure how it would affect the Legions of current basic accounts, but I sure bet that new users would go "SL nookie? Hell yeah I'll fork out $6/month to Play." For us more jaded folks, esp on the Forums, we're like "Meh... show me more."

don't have the time, never done 'adult' activities in SL yet, the closest I came to it was having a semi naked woman sat on my lap, boy was i bored stiff.

I'd lay odds that the idea has already crossed a few minds in the marketing dept, if not open discussed.

Only if they locked access 100% to anyone who was not a Member. Anything less, and their Premium membership can go hang, and if that means they block me from buying Adult content, then I am out of SL.

While unverified griefers and bots play for free, they can shove their paid membership.

Hmm... I dunno. Linking it to the premium accounts isn't really going to add value, either to the adult content or premium accounts. But, I could see them charging a one time fee, like they once did to allow us to even create an account.

I'm going to have to surprise myself by saying Pie here. Yes, I'm premium already. But I also refuse to age-ver. I'm premium for other reasons. If it wasn't for the stipend plus 512 base tier, I would still be basic to this day. (^_^)y

The "Adult Content" changes reduce the value of any adult play anyway. The more lag-tastic adult play is, the less fun it is, and therefore less valuable.

Plus, the mere policy of requiring pay-to-play means the world of potential adult companions is reduced, significantly. It's hard enough finding someone worthwhile as it is.

So if LL lowered the quality of the service and raised the price, would I pay? I did with the local cable company, but that's where I draw the line when it comes to paying more to get less. I think I might finally look into WOW instead, whcih all my friends are playing.

Already premium -- mostly to own a 512 were I can keep my XStreet boxes, change clothes and make things without being annoyed. Thus the pie response.

I think LL should change the name of XStreet. It could have naughty connotations.

Voted a Yes......cuz as someone said earlier.....without that option left open.....I'm always going to wonder whats over there....and always going to want what I can't have.
