having heard the program once or twice (or more), I suspect that if they get a big response to this small article, they'll do something much longer in the future.
I'd watch this space.

I didn't check but the BBC still has some islands in SL, yes?

I find it amusing that this world allegedly full of paedophiles and perverts... contains Sky News and the BBC in that.

1. /me points to a certain mainland sim's lower right corner, or suggests a search on "Wonderland" to get to same spot.

2. /me points to the usual dance clubs and escort services, and explains that they won't be in kid avvies.

3. /me points to Food island, then snickers a bit.

The Sky News island has a traffic of 445 so I guess anything they can do to get visitors over - even lie - has to be worth trying.

I just went to the island to see if I could talk to that idiot behind the story .. but I was alone. Even the tumbleweed had packed up and left.

HAHAHA fantastic. Genuine LOL here. Thanks. :-)

The thing about Vine seeming amazed by the whole SL thing... yes, but try to explain to anyone who has not experienced SL (or any kind of similar online community environment) about what goes on here - particularly when you get into virtual criminals and virtual investigators etc - and they too will probably find it... erm, 'amazing' :-)

I thought the interview raised some good points. I've only listened to it the once but the point about validating behaviour was worth making. And the fact that should paedophiles find a place where they can interact with like-minded individuals, groups will surely form. It's not unreasonable to suggest that they may well want to take their 'interest' to another level - like exchanging photographs for example.

The choice to give airtime to someone who was, if I remember rightly, starting a newspaper in SL was a good thing, by way of balance.

I'm not sure about all publicity being good publicity. I worry about this. My friends and family know I use SL and should the media put it in the minds of the public that SL is a pervert's paradise, I'll be out. And it will surely put many good people off trying SL in the first place.

Anyways Kel out :-D

Oh and I still can't get that Frankie tune outta my head. Bastid Vine.
