From: Drivin Sideways However IIRC - if you get accidentally initiate an undesired autopilot all you have to do is key either the left or right arrows. When the user takes control of the avi the autopilot will disengage.
... or at least it used to. Yep, but always after getting all lined up for a hug and then you make a beeline away from the target =D Emerald's workaround seems to be to ignore autopilot for touchable objects.

I like to avoid using a HUD when I can so the AO feature does seem like a good idea. I can't imagine why such a feature wasn't built into the regular viewer a long time ago.

Since the AO feature can't be pushed from the avatar, it's useless to me. I have different AOs for different species and styles of avatar. To make it useful they have to make it something you can drive from a wearable.

I see what you mean, Argent.
I'm working on something at the moment uses RLV shared folders forcibly to change species under certain circumstances so, for example, wicked witches on RP sims will be able to turn princes into frogs with a minimum of fuss until the prince can find a princess willing to change him back, and it's rather a nuisance that I can't even turn the Emerald AO off automatically, let alone change the card, since I assume most people using my toy will also be using Emerald's built-in RLV.
But for my everyday use, it's great. All I need to do is drag a card over from my inventory to change the AO, though it can take a minute or two initially to load, which I could do without.
