Ditto for me! It's going to take me weeks to work though all this loveliness. <shivers in anticipation>

Yeah, try Stiletto Moody's if you want to pay 2-3x the amount you would spend on similar quality shoes elsewhere...not to mention the excessive (and annoying) scripting.

Hey, I know her personally...she's worth it.

Look at the real world...people pay 10X the amount on Prada or Gucci purses...when there are a ton of other purses just as nice out there. Same thing with SL merch.

Not to me. Half the store looks like something highly paid strippers would wear and the other half is just not that special...I can buy similar items elsewhere for far less. Further, the less expensive items don't contain unnecessary AOs and bling/heel click/color change scripts. I don't know about these particular scripts, but all of the other shoes I've encountered which included such things defaulted to an 'on' state, so you'd have to shut them off with every log in; this can be a huge annoyance, especially if SL is being crashy. And never mind that, even when turned off, those kinds of scripts tend to always be 'listening,' so they're still using up sim resources.

I'm not going to spend that many L$ on shoes which are generally not to my taste, contain a bunch of 'features' I have no interest in, and which, as an added bonus, have the further potential to contribute to increased lag.

Besides, although I freely admit the prim work is technically quite good, it's not as though she does the majority of it herself.

She's had that shop open for, what? Two months? How would that put her on par with those sorts of RL designers? They've been around for many, many years and have earned their place as purveyors of status symbol goods.

Now, if you want to say she's a creative and cool person, I won't argue with you...you know her, I don't. But the shoes are still overpriced and overscripted.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Industrielle has some wonderful professional outfits and has an agreement with a shoe designer (can't recall the name right off) who displays co-ordinating shoes in her store as well!

DON'T go to Tesla if you have a tall AV (over 70 on the height slider)... the shoes are gorgeous, but are so small they look like kids shoes, and you cant mod them.

Redgrave has a wicked pair of pointy sculpted pumps and the boots I just love.

I went to insolence and while her pointy toed "sarah" shoes are nice..that blamed ugly club sl foot still shows at the nape of the toe. They look great with bell bottoms,

I'll try out redgraves tonight :)

Another vote for Stiletto Moody, I love her shoes, I have 3 pairs. She had a sale last week, you literally couldn't move. I also love Maitreya for shoes, I have a lot of pairs from there. My favourites are the suede wedges with ankle ties, they are fantastic.

Thanks for the blog links.

For Heels: Shiny Things, Maitreya, FNKY, Enkythings, Yukka, Lassitude and Ennui and Last Call
Flats: Baby Monkey has some cute Ballerinas, also Luly, ETD, Yukka, Lassitude and Ennui, and She's So Unusual.
I don't like Color Change or scripted shoes.
For some great business wear, check out Marzipan's Closet.

Also: Ribbons & Roses

I never wear heels. The only shoes I ever wear are from L&E and Ribbons and Roses. R&R also have amazing customer service and have modified shoes to match outfits for me at no extra cost.

Hey, I've just spotted tweed pants and a tweed suit at Fashion Forward Designs--Ileina Cove 104, 25, 21. And thanks everyone for all the great tips on places to buy shoes!

I would suggest Persona for businesslike clothes. Take a look here:
http://personasblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/itaparica-casual-classy.html

She has nice skirts and sweater packs too, that's absolutely something I would wear at work RL.

And Aphrodite Outlander for classic pumps.
http://aphroditeoutlander.wordpress.com/2008/01/03/ac-serenity-shoes-part-2/

Both these designers aren't so often mentioned....and have reasonable prizes and nice groupgifts. I think there's still one pair of shoes in the notices for the Aphrodite group. She sell her shoes for 150 L.....most other stilettos are 300 L.

There is a place called "Betria Business Boutique" in-world (I *think* I spelled that right) which has 3 or 4 designers who do business wear.

It's a while since I went so I forget all the names, but there were some nice suits.

I also wear 'kitten heel' shoes, but it took me ages to find them, and I only have 2 pairs I like. When I go in-world I'll look them up...

Right now I'm wearing Maitrea short ankle boots (Limelights) which I *love* as they don't interfere with trouser legs and aren't too high heels.
