Ok, how about a thread where we own up to a kinda private silly pleasure.. some small goofy thing you do that amuses you ... anyone? Here is one of mine: every once in a while when I'm in a silly mood I create a pair of "New Socks" - no special texture, no extra work, no anything at all, just the quick/easy/default pair of white socks - then send them to someone at random from the search box. One time I even sent an accompanying IM saying "Happy Birthday!"

I was talking to my friend on phone about my design niche in SL and whether or not it would work. We were discussing being gay in SL, mentioned how much of it so similar to FL. So many gay guys want to be butch and look straight, how my fashion designs just weren't butch enough. So we began to conspire, we laughed and laughed as we discussed how we could do recruitment drive to encourage Men not to go butch but to go sissy, to get in touch with their inner flamboyant Queen and drag him out of the closet. Our flag would be guy with hairy legs in high heels.. It was funny, it was silly, I doubt we get many Men to recruit. they go change into female avatars first before we can get them to wear flamboyant Queen wear but it was funny coming up with slogans to get guys to look more flamboyant and effeminate The other is probably when my friend and I get together and make up funny puns about my grumpy elf ways and how some day my evil grumpy experiments will take over the metaverse.

Thank you for your sincere reply, FD Spark. As a sorta wordsmith/torturer myself, I can relate to the slogan writing being fun. You've won a new pair of socks!

FD, can male avatars wear the skirt mesh? I haven't noticed any kilts or bath skirts for sale. Being female in SL, it has been fun to have one "modest business outfit" and two "ball dresses" just in case. It's also fun to play with tube style prim skirts. What are the options for males that want to wear a skirt or for that matter a robe/dress?

Skirts are fun for guys to make yeah they can wear them I tend to use them for longer coats or bathrobes. They have same layers as female avatars do but certain things are slightly different like the crotch bulge, feet tend to be bigger, and back tends to stretch differently. When I am really bored I have been known when I am alone to make Man bras. Hehe Although for Halloween I though about making myself a pink manly tutu with very poofy skirt. I don't like flexible skirts personally but my friend has used them to make me a flexible lower part of a jacket which was very nice. I thought about kilts but truthfully I have getting distracted by trying to figure out jock straps with realistic bulges. When I am feeling blue I design bulges but my bulges have issues, either I got 2 header or crotch just doesn't look right or I end up with masculine version of camel toes. Thanks for the socks Drivein. Not online right now I really should be in bed Doctors appointment in 6 hours and I haven't slept yet. What type do you make?

I always make my jacket bottoms as skirts,I cant stand the *stuck to your trouser look*.Anyway the correct term for the bottom of a jacket is skirt. As for kilts there are a couple of places that sell them along with the whole traditional Scottish look.Just for the record, don't policemen in Tonga wear skirts.

I think they call them something else then skirts...I don't exactly remember my step father is Tongan. Lot of traditional Tongan clothes are types of skirt like wraps. I am just learning how to do jackets but yeah bottom of jacket does look better as flexible prims I just pretty neat jacket even though its clinging to my but I posted it in let this thread die thread. But you can see it here too http://fdspark.blogspot.com/2008/09/something-i-made.htmlI don't know if I am going to try to sale it sort of burnt out doing the shop thing even though I do have spaces just dislike doing displays, etc. I like to figure out more masculine version of corset and fetish wear for Men but mainly just learning and having fun. I may joke about taking over the world via art but I am not that good nor do I have energy for that type of dominance. Hehe

Hey hey heeyyyyy back to confession guys...
Ok just the other day I had a little fun with my SL partner in a way that had me howling behind the keyboard. He has been logging in sporadically lately, really sporadically, and I've been totally slonely.
So when he was in the other night I logged in my male alt (that he wasn't aware of). In our house LOLOLOL was so hilarious to watch my partner go banny rooster on my alt. I have to say that my male alt is a very, very pretty avatar (for a guy). Oh but that tailspin partner went into was sooo freaking funneh!
Anyway, it ended well and now my partner knows I have a male alt, and that I only use him to create male clothing and test poseballs. I had to come clean cause wow, who'd of thunk a pixle could be so jealous!

One of my favorite things to do is to walk along the SL railroads, just to see what I can see, or if anything has changed since I last walked along them.
I must confess, though, that I absolutely love sorting Inventory. I find a nice scenic spot, or somewhere with lots of people chatting or dancing, and I'll just sit and rummage, and find new ways to organize.

I have a place in Caledon, and earlier this year there were many new sims opening up in the caledon range... Desmond Shang, the Guvnah, used to let the residents play at terraforming while he was waiting to shape the new sim, letting us all have land powers...
Anyways... I begged permission to have a wide open flat space to play Steam Elephant Polo.... I rezzed a huge physical ball, and made two huge goal posts, and as many Steam Elephant riders as would could turn up and play steam elephant polo...... It was so silly... I couldn't play for laughing a lot of the time.. much more difficult to hit the ball though the goals than i thought it would be... they kept falling off the edges of the sim...
The final result was a draw, everyone who took part got a trophy... mine is proudly on my mantelpiece in my skybox...

I recently found a lag-free Spontaneous Combustion Exploding Avatar HUD and, oddly at the same time, a giant bomb to rope on to my back. I've been making a bloody mess with it for over a week now... Literally. =^-^=

I made a joke poseball of a Deadman Float a long time ago. It just says "Float" over it, but then you end up floating face down in the water.
Of course, someone then wanted to buy it, so I made it available. It has been a consistent seller for me for months now. Silliness turned to profit -- an entrepreneur's dream.

LOL too bad the facelight doesn't blow up (if I knew how to script something like that I would create my own that blows up)
as it is, this is a freebie I picked up from SLEX after seeing a blogpost somewhere (forget where) about a store employee that banned someone because they were wearing this...
