I have a great deal more money saved up to insert inside, but I just keep teasing the edge and not penetrating because of the tier barrier. Stupid tier.

I budget for tier so this is really extra money. I like Michael’s idea of donating some of it to a charitable organization within SL.
But really people…more hair and clothes…lap dances? Geeez! Isn’t there anything out there that costs L10,000 that I can’t already pickup for a buck at the Gnubie store? |

I'd probably start by commissioning a skin. Although I really like the ones I use, there is always something I'd rather have slightly different. A little bit less shading here, a slightly more subtle... oh you get the idea. It'd be nice to have one that's just perfect. And yes, I think I've tried every skin demo in sl over the time I've been here.
After that? Custom designed hair might be nice. And then: yes, there are many worthy causes out there. Or seek out some cool new residents and give them a helping hand. TBH, I don't really think 10k would last very long with me ![]() |

One "complete, includes everything" photo studio I saw - has textures, lights, poses, etc. is 13 thousand something lindens. Good grief. The studio itself, lights and backgrounds are so easy to put together yourself. And the packs of free poses contain some good ones. OK you might have to get rid of a lot of them but there are definitely some every bit as good as those I've seen used in these 'studios'. And I have seen one studio for sale (can't remember how much... a while ago) that used the free poses anyway. Add a few good ones from Abranimations or wherever and you're away. |

And mine, going broke on musician tips ![]() Definitely don't forget the venue ![]() Actually, DaQbet, you could ask bilbo about this Children in Need charity event that is coming up I think. AFAIK it's a UK charity. That would be a worthwhile investment. _____________________

It had many different types of lights (colored, etc.) and many different textures, and poses, and . . I have no idea, I didn't look closely. I also built my own studio, with colored lights and the like, but if you wanted to just have something that looked neat, that you didn't have to take the time to build yourself, etc., then shelling out 13KL when you want to blow through some money so that later you can look at your inventory and think "WTF"? then a professional, everything included, 13K thingie would do it. Note: when I say complete, I mean everything that photo studio sells for 13K. There are many different levels of photo studio that the person sells. It is just that there is a package that contains everything for something like 13K. _____________________

So I had a few referrals payoff and now I’ve got some Lindens burning a hole in my pocket. I have land so I’m not really interested at this time in buying anymore. So my question is. If you had say 10,000L to play with what would you buy? Lol... i ask myself that almost daily... cause I buy taht much way too often XD I usually go for clothes, an av, or textures... never bought a vehicle yet... umm...hmm....i can build stuff so I don't buy that... I buy things for my girls alot too ^^ _____________________

I don't see the point to one at all.. even home made.. carry the poses with you, makae landmarks for pretty places of varying types (Forest, mountain, snow, etc), maybe carry a hollow pure white or black full brightness box to stand in for the 'bluescreen' kinda thing.... thats all you need.. and looks better than a studio ![]() _____________________

I don't see the point to one at all.. even home made.. Let's say you want to do fashion shoots for 3 outfits, 3 pics each. Remember the point is to sell the clothing, not to make a pretty picture of you. You need to do it QUICK - if you use actual sims, it takes forever to TP there, make sure no-one else is in the shot, set light boxes up, get yourself at the right height in pose ... bleh. AND ... you do this once or twice a week. Using a studio is just SO much quicker. You can assemble a studio yourself, I did that for quite some time (with a cut sphere or rectangular backdrop). I still use it occasionally. But you will want a fancy pose stand .. oh i can script it myself, but WHY ... and particle effects ... and a menu system for the lights and textures. For 3500L, its a steal. Re: poses -- For fashion, I would be surprised if a professional photog gets by with fewer than 100 poses. |

I've got probably 400 poses, most of which aren't half bad.. and I've paid maybe 200 L$ total for poses of any sort (Aside from my AO) _____________________
