I had one new picks camping spot that after two days still gave me the finger and urged me to come back when I had added the place, when usually it does only take a few hours. I was shrugging it off and thought it was maybe one of those manipulated boards one can run into nowadays. But now a second place is giving me the same problems, keeps saying place is not in picks, come back later. My alt and a friend of mine have the same problem.
So, question is - maybe search is more borked than we thought? Anyone else experience something like this?

I created a new parcel yesterday and set it to show in search. Today it's being listed in the All search - as long as the in-world one is used. The website search is knackered - hasn't been fixed since search was fixed a couple of days ago.

Nope, picks are still not updating correctly. Something is borked there.

I haven't had any problems with new and updated picks being reflected in search the next day. Are you certian that the picks are actually eligable to show in search?

They show in search, Phil. That's not the problem. Problem is, the picks boards no longer recognize them in search. And it's not just me.

I wonder if they've changed their parcel size and that's messed something up? Never heard of that happening before, or maybe changed landowner or criteria for inclusion, although shouldn't it tell you that if that's the case?

I doubt it has anything to do with the parcels. Happens to my, happens to my alt, happens to a friend and his alt, with three different locations on my part and others on his, and it concerns both JVA and PPRS systems. There's just something happening that makes the systems no longer recognize fresh picks currently.

Now that I've grasped what it is that's wrong, I think I may have the answer. As you know, the All search screwed up recently, and LL did a fix towards the end of last week. BUT the fix has not been applied to the website-based search - it still shows results from the borked system. Your picks boards systen will most likely check picks on the website-based search, since it's very easy to do programmatically. That'll be why your boards aren't working correctly - they are most likely checking picks in a borked system.
On Friday or Saturday, I told LL that the website search still displays results from the pre-fix time. There was the weekend, of course, but I would have hoped that they would have been on it today. Apparently not.

Phil, thank you very much, now I get it, too. Not much I can do then except keep my fingers crossed for a fast fix.

I can't see them leaving it for long, but you never know. It wouldn't hurt to get onto live help and tell them that the website search shows results from before the fix. And if a number of people tell them about it they might even notice that something is actually wrong.

LiveChat told me that yes, apparently the issue was not resolved yet and to open a ticket on it. Let's hope it'll get some attention.

Good! At least they know it's an issue. I told them on Friday or Saturday and I imagined that the person I spoke to assumed that I was mistaken. Marcel won't be pleased when it's fixed though. He's at #1 for "low prim furniture" in the borked website results

I filed a support ticket about the web search and was asked by LL to take the issue to the Jira, which I did yesterday: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1057In the Jira I've described the situation for my lands. It would be good if others write down their specific examples there too.

From: Phil Deakins Oooo. When did that attitude change??? Well actually it did not, but thought it sounded nice I would like to rank right under your store though, so I have still work to do. As I told you before, you have 1000 items, so you actually should rank higher then I do. Weird thing I saw today: Search on the web does update, but still gives strange results. My 2 stores rank 1 and 2, while the current top 3 is nowhere to be found. Yesterday I was on #1 and #3 so things do change, just keep being wrong

Can you find them? When my store did that it was because the whole sim vanished from search. I noticed the inworld all search for my main keyword is all different today than it usually is when everything is working. Something is happening again.

I wonder if LL messing about with search, getting it ready to display adult content only to those who are whatever they need to be, has anything to do with them cocking it up.

Something is going on, yeah. Got confirmation from a friend, PPRS picks systems now work fine, JVA is still not willing to cooperate. So either LL screwed it so that this system can read it again or the makers caught up with the scripting.

That could account for when all parcels in sims went missing.
Right now, I've just realised that the website search is updating and very recently changed profiles are showing the very recent changes. But there's a lot missing from there and it's not whole sims. For instance, some of my parcels are not listed there but others are - all in the same sim.
Novis. Have you checked the website search to see if your profile is actually getting listed there?
