Squatting On Someone Else's Land

I've had several dealings with squatters, and in the beginning I used to get so worked up literally over something very minor. Because I own group land in several sims I thought I was safe setting it to no-build, nuh uh...forgot about OE which I'm loathe to change. After all, how many times have we all wanted to fly/drive/boat somewhere and ended up sitting on our keester. I won't contribute to ban lines, so I've come to grips with things and put it in perspective. As suggested auto-return after x amount of minutes gives me a lot less worry nowadays. Besides, when was the last time you saw LL take action against squatters, they have bigger fish to fry, and I would rather see them spend their time going after griefers, harassers, verbal abusers etc etc etc. It's annoying when it does happen, but it's livable and there's always return-objects/eject/ban. As far as reporting it to neighbors, sure. A friendly little note saying someone you don't know is building on the land is fine and I wouldn't hesitate to do it. Keeps everything friendly and your neighbors know you're looking out for them.

Stormy, most of the discussion was regarding if we should report squatters on a neighbors vacant land to the owners. I wouldn't bat an eye booting them on my own property. In fact, the only reason I'd probably wait is until they were in the middle of having sex and then I'd return all their items to their inventory.

LOL!!

Same applies though...........whether reporting them or booting them, I was kidding anyhow, I got serious further down in the paragraph on what my stips would be to either allow them to stay or to boot or report. Initially reporting to the landowner would initially end in the same scenario...........close enough anyhow.
