From: Rhaorth Antonelli I offer suggestions for when you are waiting for folks to post their favs, and you say to ignore my post??
not very nice...
oh well
and my fav store is my own, because that way I can get exactly what I want...
(did not name the store, not plugging it, just saying)
and no, do not ignore my post, as it might actually be helpful to some folks.... I got the impression she meant ignore her original post, not yours, Rha.

From: Avawyn Muircastle Oh, you can put plugs in this forum but just not mention your own as your favorite? Actually, you could mention your own (no forum rule against it), but the OP requested folks not to: From: Bryony Dirval Please don't advertise your own shops here, just tell me your faves

From: Rhaorth Antonelli being they quoted mine and said ignore this post, I presumed they meant ignore the post they quoted which was mine... From what I gathered, the OP seemed upset by your first post, telling her the subject had already been covered. After LittleMe said all women liked to talk about clothes, the OP said: From: Bryony Dirval Thanks I was about to disappear rather quickly then! And I think the OP possibly got a little upset by your following post, hence she almost followed through with her "disappearing rather quickly" bit. Not a dig at you, Rha, but I too felt your first post came over as somewhat, "oh not this again, can't you look for yourself?"-ish. A nervous newbie who doesn't know the forums like I know the forums (*g*) might well be intimidated by something like that. Which is why I jumped in with the blogs suggestion: so we didn't lose a nervous newbie

Which is why I jumped in with the blogs suggestion: so we didn't lose a nervous newbie it was not meant that way, it was meant to be helpful as in... why not do a search while you wait *shrug* sorry can not control how others read my posts... and I still think the op was saying for folks to ignore my post.... I can not interpret that one any other way (and yes a part of me was thinking, here we go again, after all, MOST people at least know how to do a search and try searching before posting... but I guess not all do) but my post was not a "here we go again" it was intended to help guide the op to a way to gather more info while they waited PS and if my post upset the OP they are in for a bumpy ride, cuz that was mild compared to many many posts I see here (still do not understand why some folks get told by the masses to "use search" and others are assisted... (do a search you will see what I mean)

I read some fashion blogs, and the freebie blogs that's already mentioned here. I have not seen such a good blog as MichaMi *sigh*. She stopped blogging in june, when she started to make clothes instead. I often go back there and a lot of those shops she blogged are still in SL. http://michami.net/blog/

From: Bryony Dirval ... although now I'm a bit bored of the jeans ... Welcome to SL =) You probably going to do what most of us do. Go thru a whole lot of different styles and looks. Just because you can and is fun to do. Not everyone does this but lots more people do. Is lots of fun and you dont really know until you try it. So ya we all got our favs but most of us went thru everything else to find them so maybe you can do this as well and see what happens. Live a little maybe. I think is what you hinting at here. You maybe surprise yourself even. I know I did =)

But then people replied anyway. Are you just after an argument or something...? And I don't mean that rudely, I do kind of feel jumped on by you. I do know how to work these forums as I'm a regular on other forums of the same type (if that makes sense) and I did search but all I got were posts from months ago, I didn't know how many of those shops would still be running. Thank you everyone for all the help. I have new hair from ETC (I love the tips ), a Xmas outfit for free and I finally got a walk! Yes, I was using the normal newbie one

Yes, I was using the normal newbie one you could have said ignore this thread and not quoted my post, would have removed the confusion I am sorry if you feel I jumped on you, that is the problem with the written word, one can only take it as one sees it and sadly you took it incorrectly. good luck with the store hunting, hope you find all you are looking for PS by the way, these folks are not very good at ignoring threads (I am sure you saw the one I tried to get them to ignore)

For clothes, and sometimes very complete packages, at very reasonable prices, I recommend Bare Rose, whether you're male or female.

I'm not going to repeat anything here, but I'll add in Archange for clothing, and Gurl 6 and Dernier Cri for hair. DC makes some lovely updo's, and they have a very unique texture selection process.

My current two favorite shops for gowns and unusual dresses one doesn't see everywhere are:
*Vindi - GORGEOUS gowns with exquisite detail *Lemania Designs - An entire sim - She and her designers re-create dresses worn by stars in days-gone-by in specific movies. She holds regular hunts for some awesome dresses plus her weekly group dollarbies are generally amazing!

SLink has some lovely slacks and leather pants.
Damselfly is currently my top pick for hair
Also try Mischief, D-Factor, Little Rebel, Blaze, Casa del Shai, Redgrave, and Armidi. Nonna Hedges is known for her gowns, but has some really cute jeans and top outfits.
