I've heard that there are places in SL that have adult content, is this true? Where can I go to either see/have sex?

Um, yes, Sarita. You COULD spend your time wandering around asking "Where is the sexy?" Or alternatively, and much more productively, you can do a search for adult keywords (such as, say, "sex". To do the latter, you will need to be age verified, or have payment information on file.

If you want adult content then get age verified, payment information on file/used, check all the appropriate boxes in your preferrences and go............have fun or whatever. Or you can search the forums........there are at least 4 or 5 threads in the just recent week or two.

Yes, you can get to adult places by verifying either via the age verification system or by having payment info on file. I've done both with all three of my accounts.

You have to relog before verification can take effect.
You also have to set Preferences to opt into seing adult search listings.

Please ignore the giggles from the bar...it's a reasonable question, it's just that there's so MUCH history surrounding the subject.

There is a LOT of adult content in SL. Everything from straight sex to the most bizarre kinks and fetishes you can imagine.

Most of it got moved to the "adult continent" of Zindra on the mainland, and to adult-flagged private islands, back in September, although you will still find plenty of sex-enabled furniture in private residences on Mature land.

To access land with an "adult" rating, you have to be "account verified". You do this in one of two ways.

1. Have Payment Info on File (give LL your credit card number or a verified PayPal account). You don't have to buy anything, just give them the account information. OR

2. Use the Age Verification link in your Account settings on the SL web site. Give them a piece of identification, like the last four numbers of your SSAN or your drivers license.

After doing either or both of these, open your SL viewer and go to Edit/Preferences/General. Check the PG, Mature, and Adult content boxes. Also check that you want to see Adult content in the Search window.

If you drop me an IM in world, I'll send you a list of landmarks to various adult places.

Note: Simply *observing* SL sex can be very unrewarding. Two cartoons, engaged in a generally poor quality sex animation.
