She'd outpester any pest
Drive a hornet from its nest
She could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl
She is gentle! She is wild!
She's a riddle! She's a child!
She's a headache! She's an angel!
She's a girl!
What are little girls made of, made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

What are little boys made of, made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dog tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

*waves enthusiastically* Hi Colette! Hi Mac!

Speaking of stuff for kids, does anyone know where to get a good walk for a female child AV?

*I* don't need to know of course, it's for a friend who snagged a new name recently.

Sadly, no. I have never, ever found a really good AO for kid avvies, an th' lack of a good way has been the big missing piece.

(This is the chance for someone to do someting really really good!)

*waves back to Nika!* :)

Yep, Mari.. someone could make a mint off that market. If I were talented in animations I would take your advice and make a few sets for different age brackets.

Agreed. Always frustrated my attempts at a younger av. The skip walk gets tiring after a bit. :)

probably less of us than most other notable groups, but it's afairly tight community for the most part, so word of mouth travels fast, especially for items with general appeal (the neat things is that the kids community tends to cross through many of the others, with a few flavors just it's own, from goth to bling babies, cosplay to innocence. though thiscan make marketing a bit hard.)

How bout Tail of Two Kitties? I can't recall if it was a skip walk, but it was definitely too girlie for my al.. um, nephew. He uses a male walk that kinda makes him look like a tough guy-wannabe.. but then he has pretty heavy boots to drag along too so I reckon it fits him. :p

I use one : "Elsie Cute AO" It was 400 L$, and I can find the LM where I got it. but just search in game for "Animation override" while you're at it.

And as Colette Meiji said, there are only adult human avatars. The rest is optically adjusted.
Furry's, tinies, mechs, etc. are just folded humans with prims around them.

Child avi's are just short adults without adult curves, and usually, Like I do, cute clothes, cute poses, and child like movement. It's a child, because your brain tells you so.
Since SL is all about your fantasy you shouldn't say things don't exist. Adult avatars technically don't exist either, because the entire game is just a bunch of binary scripts running around around PC.

So technically they don't exist, but practically anything exists in SL. You can dress up as a pack of cigarettes if needed.

Also anyone playing as a child. Don't use adult "sexywalk" overrides. It makes you look like a midget escort wearing pink ribbons :(

I'm a regular child avi player, and I don't care what people think about it. Most find me cute ^^, which is exactly my intention.

Sadly, the last time I tried to find a decent child AO, several of the pre-packaged ones I found included the "sexy walk" as the default walk animation. Some of them were no-mod, essentially rendering them useless.

With that said, when I set up Shelley (roleplay age 14), I found a fairly benign "sexy walk" that is not too out of character, though I still occasionally shop around for that perfect walk for her.

Its nothing to do with Xite or anything of that nature. Wish I could make animations but haven't tried.

This idea came to me in the middle of the night, but I have to make it without a huge number of prims which will be difficult so still pondering on how doable it is.

Thanks for all your feedback :)

Yes, yes. I would just like a decent regular person set. One that doesn't have that weird skip walk, no "Sexy Walk" left in there (I think it ends up in these because, well, it's pretty easy to get ahold of for free), just normal kid-like animation. I dun need overly cutesy, but jes regular ol' kid. :-)

Oh ya. Word travels like wildfire in th' kid community.

It's true. It's like you have a secondary identity in there. You can be fur *and* kid, vampire *and* kid, neko *and* kid, etc. if ya choose to be.

I just found a pretty decent skipping animation. Oddly enough, it's part of a women's basic AO package, but you can buy it separately for 150L$.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Animation%20Island/227/4/333/

It's in the far back corner.

My kid av is actually using one of my adult AOs-it has a very confident walk, which is just right for my very confident 12 year old with a slingshot in her pocket...the AO is actually called Confident, I just can't remember who it was from-I've had it for over a year-close to one and a half years I think.

Sure. I haven't been in SL for almost two years without knowing THAT. But that presupposes I log in, ya know? ;) I need some free time and the right computer for that!

Edit: I just checked-it's Luth Brodie's confident set! :)

I noticed today that Toy had a pretty nice walk and asked where she got it. I guess it's been a while, but, she was able to toss me a maker's name and LM from it. (^_^)

One place to try: Mr. P's Child's Play: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Koleamoku/249/62/27

There's a gesture shop and AO store there, with a section that caters to kid avatars. (^_^)y

EDIT: Heh.. She beat me to it. =^-^=
