Hi group. As a Basic account resident my support ticket options is very limited. Yesterday (an hour or so before the notice about the database failure) i bought more lindens. My account is connected to paypal. At the paypal side i can see the transfer of money. I can see the transfer at my SL account page in account history. BUT my linden balance has NOT been added to. The transaction history is unchanged.
So pleace advice what an basic account resident should do now? where do i get help? and if a linden read this, please contact me! It was a fair amount of cash that should have been transfered.
Thanks in advance. /Kalle

There is a billing number on the main page . Give them a call.
Toll-free (US/Canada) 800-294-1067 or Long-distance (not free) 703-286-6277.
They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

From: 3Ring Binder no live chat options for NPIOF? Nope, but they can file a support ticket for billings. That is one thing they can do.

True, but payment info is on file for this particular instance, otherwise the Paypal account couldn't be attached. (last I heard you had to use a credit card first then attach the Paypal account) But a support ticket is probably the best option, unless you're absolutely dieing to have the $L right now. Supply the Paypal transaction number and all details, regardless of whether you think they're important. Better yet, supply a screenshot of the transaction detail page from Paypal. If you're absolutely dieing for the $L, process another by starting a new transaction and file the support ticket for the missing $L. A

Did you click 'Linden Dollar Exchange' > 'Buy L$,' or could you have selected 'Increase Your Credit' instead?
If it's the latter, you only added USD to your account and will still need to buy the Lindens...they *should* deduct from the USD balance, rather than hitting PayPal again.

Hm, that is my initial question, as i have a Basic account i cannot file a support ticket for billings, actually i did that just to try it and i got the answer to use only the basic or free membership questions only, and that the ticket will not be handled. And tomorrow is my rent due... *sigh* Thanks all, much appreciate your help. /Kalle

You must actually put in a buy order on the Linden Dollar Exchange, as Ann said. If THAT fails, put in a ticket.

Oh and another thing, this has worked flawlessly before. No issue whatsoever. I just think (i actually dont know but...) The database problems they had yesterday is the source of this mishap. But that is just a guess.

They paypal account was deducted, account history shows the dollars. No indication of theis transaction in transaction history. And no lindens added to my account. I should not have to log in to the website and go to the linden dollar exchange to do that. And no, i have not any american dollars on my account after the transaction. [edit] have not any is maby badly put. this might be better. Linden Dollar balance: xxx US Dollar balance: 0 where xxx is unchanged after my linden buy. /K

I really appriciate all your effort in helping me but please don't tell me to issue a ticket. I cannot do that. As basic account resident i have these to choose from:
Special Questions - Basic account ot guest login.
Account issues ticket group: -i cant create an account -password problem -error message that my account is disabled -system says account suspended -cant login -i belive someone else has logged in to my account -cancel uncancel account -manual age verification
Rest of tickets: Region is offline Estate manager with basic account need rollback i cant add payment method Lindex tier review bank registration submission contact linden dept of public works submissions for i-world expo i cant logint to my teen secondlife account
Which one to pick from these? I really hope a linden gets in contact with me. /Kalle.

I believe those both go to Billing. Given how long tier reviews seem to take though, I'd probably try the first one.

Just choose one of the reasons and then explain your problem in the body of your message.
or you could ask paypal to recover your money for you and see what they say from their end.
And if you used a credit card you can contact your credit card company and request a chargeback.

Yes, call PayPal or your bank and request a chargeback for undelivered goods.
There is no reason for you to jump through hoops or go out of your way because of Linden Lab's errors.
Let LL explain to PayPal why the system failed. It will be matter of record.

ALL customers should get the highest level of support when it involves getting your CC charged.

From their user agreement, regarding claims eligibility: From: someone Claims must be for payments for tangible, physical goods that can be shipped, and not all other payments, such as payments for intangibles, for services or for licenses and other access to digital content.

From: Ann Launay I don't think PayPal will do anything about it. From their user agreement, regarding claims eligibility: Credit cards have different rules than paypal, however. Whether or not they do anything about it you can risk your paypal account if you do a chargeback on your card before attempting to go through paypal.
