From: Weston Graves I think there should be a "please type in the letters as you see them on the screen" routine every so often during high volumes or be logged out as a bot. Sort of a human verification, annoying but better than not getting in. From: Phil Deakins Yep. All mine are happily logged in - thank you. It's nice to know that you are concerened about hem Weston, there is a better less intrusive way. When there is a grid issue like today with tioo many people logged in: Force all the Non-Premium accounts to log off. Then allow only premium accounts access to the grid. IMHO Phil: If you buy them all premium accounts then they are welcome to log in. "CX"

there are 43,754 logged in at this posting, and the grid runs perfectly fine with 60k... so it's not that (even though i did get that same message).

From: DaQbet Kish Hey Phil I have to be at work in the next 10 min, Could you log off some of your bots so i can get in please? If it would make a difference, I'd be glad to, but as we all know, or we all should know, bots have no effect on it.

Content creator and estate manager, I would prefer not to have this happen. I could rant and get people worked up. but why, it borked. Also if it borks and oh lets say the login server goes down, how would a premium account get in? just mind boggling.

Yeah, who cares if we can't log in to spend our money at the shops, our pay our rent.......

It is obvious to me that Linden Labs doesn't listen to Premium Members anyway. If you don't own an Island or two you are no better than one of Phils bots to the eyes of Linden Labs. Again just my opinion. I can't believe I am posting here again. I must be really bored. "CX"

Unfortunately, they had already disabled logins and we had been discussing the issues inbworld at least 15-20 minutes before they finally posted anything on that darn page. From: Jorus Xi Jesus Christ, Shut the hell up, keep your bedroom shit in the bedroom. LMAO - like that is going to happen around here. From: 3Ring Binder ... grid runs perfectly fine with 60k... Well..... I am not so sure the grid really ever runs "perfectly fine" anymore.

dunno if it's just me, but seems a lot of character animatins are moving in slow motion for me now.
ive cleared cache relogged and everything since this mess started, but most dances and gestures seem to move in slow motion for me now. 1 or 2 still move normal speed, thats other avatars as well as my own.
weird.

Trouble with kicking bots is, most of them are set to auto relog, so the 1000's of boyts hammering the servers to relog will probably be more stress than leaving them on.

From: Phil Deakins If it would make a difference, I'd be glad to, but as we all know, or we all should know, bots have no effect on it. The important thing is your's and others 1000's of trafficbots are getting good traffic stats, not that potential customers can login of course.

Sort of a human verification, annoying but better than not getting in. Unfortunaely, captcha cracking has already progressed to the point that the ones machines can't solve are about the same ones the average person can't solve. It would stop the practice for a month or two until bot upgrades trickled out though.
