We´ve tried every possible way of communicating with this guy, but never a single response in many months. We have had some success with contacting the owners of the litter though.

Does the owner still show up in search? If not, do a support ticket and ask LL to reclaim & auction the land..

If they do show up in search, check their profile for the groups they're in. It's a bit of a slimy trick but if you can join one of they are in, you can see their last login date. That'll at least tell you if they're ignoring you or if they really are never in-world..

He does actually, yes.

We did that a while back :o and noticed he had definitely been online since we'd sent messages. Since then he's deleted all his groups. :D

Actually, to make this even more fun, I should add that he's also trying to rent the land out with a open-plan-mangled-treehouse-more-like-planks-on-a-pole-looking thing on it for a fantastically-high rate.
We love our neighbour :D

well when property own junkup their land and case junk yard is what i refering too. well leaving
packed and open boxes from those that are unknown is a problem regradless........

Well LLABS can do somethin gIF they wanted too. for over 10 months and countless abuse reports nothing. They just don`t know who to trust since alts are so many and they could be the ladnowner themselves trying to force people to seell out because of the junkup look.

It's called "white trash" and even though it's tacky, those land owners have every right to junk up their own yards.

I'm still amazed by how harsh these forums can be to people who dare to try and build while not being artistic..

I know, that's why I never try. I don't think I'm strong enought to stand the criticism.
I actually thought this thread was about an ugly neighbor and their build, silly me.

I'll agree, there is a fine line between constructive criticism and just being mean. At least with constructive, you get advice, possibly ideas that might help.

In this case, though, I think using a nice landscaped scene to block out irritating views is perfectly acceptable. Especially if there is nothing constructive to be offered or if it's turned down. Some people to react badly to *any* sort of criticism, especially if they think what they've built is the most perfect thing in the world!

The very creative structure on our neighbour's land is and has for months now been composed of one megaprim cylinder with a 10x10 flat box stuck in it. I call it a pole with a plank, but perhaps two primitive primitives would be a better name (thanks for that one Okiphia LOL) :)

BTW I don't criticise things other people make, because I'm one of the those people who dare to try and build while not being artistic :D

Oh my God, so many replies :-)

Thanks for all your replies! The owner of the group which owns this neighbour parcel is not in SL anymore. I offered him half a million for the parcel, he declined, wanted 650000 and now he is gone. Very strange! The parcel is not really ugly, it just does not fit with my medieval theme. Imagine my tenants rent a castle and have a modern supermarket just 5 meter from their balcony. So I bought a 150x150 huge screen which does the job, there are already alternative offers coming in. I want the best solution for my tenants.
Many thanks again, Violet

oops, got a little trigger happy... carry on.

LOL that tickled me.

to the OP, big walls with lovely textures are nice (sky view, trees, etc). If possible, make the other side of your wall compatible with your neighbors landscape, if you 'happen' to have a commercial texture in your inventory.... unless you are also commercial, then use that side for advertising.

A lot of people will pay top dollar for that kind of convenience.

Thats why I made my big anti ad wall totally clear on the neighbors side... I didnt want to destroy their view of my signs and scattered primitives

There was a great show on the History Channel the other day about pigs. It showed all the yummy things you can make from them, bacon, ham, sausage, etc. Then they showed some stuff about how smart they are or something like that, but I turned it off at that point.

lol in rl.

bilbo has a very nice property. a nice house and garden. very TASTEFUL. no screen needed.

HOWEVER ....

i do have a firehouse on the other side. didn't use a screen. but 20x20 stone walls covered with vegetation sufficed.

LOL

Well at least you don't have to worry about burning to death there ...
