You'd think she'd include a picture of herself. Not sure what's weirder: the random capitalization or the fact that this scheme has a FAQ _____________________

Sorry, I won't buy them..
I've come to the conclusion that it's far more economical to just build things myself. |

Ms. Spyker perhaps?
How should I know if I would buy one of your houses? I haven't seen them. There are some mi-t-fine house builders in SL, though. Also most residents of more than a year can build houses too... |

Man, this forum has really gone to hell. Can't someone ask a question without all the negativity being heaped upon them? So she is trying different ways to make money and using these forums as a forum to test her ventures. She is not trying to send you to her store to buy the houses yet. Why so mean?
To the OP, it all depends on the quality, price and prims. Keep the first one high and the last two low and you might have something. But do it for the fun, not the money, because very few creators make good money in SL. Maybe that partially explains all the bitterness... |

Ray, I have enormous respect for you, and also for your vision of this forum as a place for newcomers to get help. But if you really think that Coraline is being hard done by here, you haven't been paying attention to the full context. Ignoring for a moment that I suspect she is about as genuine as the prim boobs she sports in the XStreet listing selling herself for L$5000, she has used the official forums here for everything from ill-thought out schemes to make money quickly, to prostituting herself, both (apparently) by the hour, and by the month. I think you should read ALL of her postings carefully, and then decide who is disrespecting this forum. _____________________

Coraline, are you consciously TRYING to set back the status of women by a half century???? Personally I don't think any self respecting adult female would lower herself to this activity. I think our Coraline is a male. _____________________

Personally I don't think any self respecting adult female would lower herself to this activity. I think our Coraline is a male. The thought has occurred, yes . . . Real-world females proved more likely to rebel against the Second Life ideal described by one female avatar as "a balloon chest and a low-cut top." (With apologies to Ciera . . . and an acknowledgment that this is of course a generalization) _____________________

Coraline, are you consciously TRYING to set back the status of women by a half century???? What, by exercising her right to freely enter into a contract of servitude for a restricted period, in exchange for money? This is the problem with foaming feminists - They fail to understand equal rights means equal freedoms to be exploited, act immaturely, or even to be a total halfwit if so desired. Coraline may be a cretin, a troll, an alt, an imbecile, a shallow money sucker, but just because she's female (or at least we have to assume so) doesn't mean she shouldn't have the right to be all those things. |

And I am far from disputing it. But I, for my part, retain the right to criticize her decisions, and to highlight the larger implications of those choices. (ETA: Your argument would be more effective if you resisted the temptation to resort to mere name calling, as in "foaming feminists." For one thing, you too clearly tip your hand when you do so.) _____________________

just because she's female (or at least we have to assume so) DO we? doesn't mean she shouldn't have the right to be all those things. "Right" doesn't come into the picture. In any sense of the word. Sorry but isn't this the same person who wanted to be adopted and named herself after a children's film? In the same breath offering herself for 'sale?' And there are reasons why a '19 year old female' might be trolling message boards instead of out doing what 19 year olds do, but what are the chances? She could just as easily be a bored real life child, which is even scarier. |

(ETA: Your argument would be more effective if you resisted the temptation to resort to mere name calling, as in "foaming feminists." For one thing, you too clearly tip your hand when you do so.) I merely try to distinguish between those who want equal rights, and those who have some perverse notion equality is the situation of a previously subjugated group assuming control and restricting themselves from free will. If you'd have called Coraline out on her fickle giggle ways fair enough, but you chose to have issue with her not so PC/ feminist ideas. Oh noes, I forgot to think of the childrunnnn!!!111!! I was under the impression we had to assume a users gender was as they claimed/ portrayed themselves, until they revealed otherwise. I also wasn't aware no 19 year old girls might be utter looney tunes, have access to a computer, and not (for whatever reason) spend all hours getting paralytic in bars and clubs and waking up knickerless in strangers beds. I have little time for the girl, but having a go at her use of sexuality due to others historic bra burnings, or her gender and age due to her stupidity seems a touch wrong to me. |

If you'd have called Coraline out on her fickle giggle ways fair enough, but you chose to have issue with her not so PC/ feminist ideas. Well, uh, yes I do have issue with these. I have issue with them coming from you, or from anyone else on this forum: I am treating Coraline in this regard no differently than I treat anyone else. Should her views be exempt from criticism merely because she IS a woman? I'd have thought that THAT was more of a "foaming feminist" approach than my own. I too am a woman; why then do you have the right (which, incidentally, I do not for the moment dispute) to take issue with me? I'm not sure I understand why I should not be entitled to call out Coraline on her views. Are you not calling me on mine? Do we not, in this forum and elsewhere, freely debate all sorts of issues from the ridiculous and mundane to the globally significant? Can you explain how this is different? _____________________
