I just thought we prolly are all eating - so what are you gonna have?
This is my lunch time. I am going to grill a lovely little speckled trout on the BBQ, and make a beetroot salad with watercress. I will made a herb stuffing of a complete dill flower, parsley, and some extra watercress, with salt and pepper and lemon juice. Beetroot salad for crispiness and colour.
What are you going to make?

Bit of odds and ends.

Just had a big oatmeal raisin cookie. About to have some warmed up leftover tuna helper.

Or I might go get a 2nd cookie first instead, and leave the tuna for a bit later. :)

Thanks. :)

We all seem to have varying palates in here. Kind of innerestin'.

Jig's meal sounds lovely and very posh!

I remember this golden beet salad I had, with a bit of goat cheese and a quail egg on top. mmm....(I'd never make such a feast at home, though!)

Couldn't eat a 'slider' on a dare. I do love fishies, though. Poor fishies.

Finished the tuna, about to nibble on a peanut cookie.

Well, I had the trout which was really super. I cleaned the said trout but kept head and tail on. Then I took a full head of florets of a dill plant (like one complete section - but NOT whole plant), a sprig of Italian parsley and a sprig of bronze fennel. I was really generous with the olive oil and massaged the fish lovelingly (as they say) and sprinkled lovely sea salt and fresh ground black pepper in cavity where I stuff the herbs. Then I gently tossed more salt and generous pinch of pepper on each side and lay on super hot grill.

The beets were quite simple. Sliced with a dressing of white balsamic (Californian one), salt and pepper. I also spotted (in the fridge) some nice Swordfish I cooked the other night and wrapped up some cubes in foil and laid on grill to warm through.

Then I had a good suck of the head of trout as a treat and licked the tail for meat. They are best parts. Dont overcook this meal if you are doing it and turn trout over super-carefully to keep skin attached to flesh.

I shall go offline now coz must go down to see my Mum - she's gonna miss me when I get back to my "work". Tonight I am having London Broil at a tiny restaurant which should be interesting. :)

Golden beets are really sweet and I like them a lot. You can buy quails eggs in many places now and they "round off" a special salad beautifully. Why not really indulge for a breakfast with a duck egg? Incredibly rich but excellent.

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Never thought of it. Duck isn't common here - nor is lamb. I do like a nice fishie but not sure I could dine on it with it watching me (the herbs sound great.)

I'm sure all those things are tasty (fish head, beef, duck) but I've been very finicky on things like that since very small. I think people are born with their palates.

Have a nice London Broil. Sounds like a lovely outing.

Panera bread - not a bad place. Their asiago bread inexplicably began to make me sneeze, though so I quit going.

The peanut cookie isn't good. I'm not going to finish it.

Brenda let us know how those sliders were. I bet the dog will be ecstatic over them.

Yeah, they are only good fresh. I do not have a white castle anywhere close to me - it sucks.
