I do NOT prevent avitars from being killed on my property but am seeing this less and less as I zoom around - why?
Aren't we making SL just a little too "safe" and too "normal"?

I prevent it because my property is my shop, it would be bad for customers. :^)

As I have always avered, the day I am killed will be the day I leave SL. Yonks ago my very first partner left that way. I admired the cleanliness of it and the finality. I think it makes SL more of a risk and more gritty.

Waaaaaiiitt a minute. Are you saying the day something or someone in SL kills you, you will leave SL? You're kidding, right? You know if you get killed you TP home. You don't lose your stuff or anything. You just tp home. Why on earth, with all the great games to play that could kill you, would you be willing to limit yourself like that? .

I know that sounds extreme but I figure it is kinda fitting. I only informed this thread about that coz my sl partner is away from the computer world on some island in the real world and doesnt think I am on the forum. Coz his reaction is Very similar to yours. I admit that I can be just a tad dramatic BUT I think it is very droll and has a sense of finality to it.

And, awwww Trout, you actually sound like you care :)

/me tries to divert Bradley's attention

Thanks for the head's up - I actually forgot about Bradley. Naww I'm safe ... aren't I?
Maybe he will put up a reward and a slick, handsome Man with No Name will arrive to take me as bounty who will fall madly in love with me and refuse to harm me. Then he will pull me up onto his sl horse called "503" ...
