NUDE beach-Double standard?

Well I changed my profile pic. I had no idea that someone could get all that info off where it was taken due to a red striped umbrella and a lifeguard chair pixelated in the background(didn't know those were unique to any particular beaches ) but i certainly meant noone harm..

It was obviously a mindset that i didn't understand..so i asked.Now i do..unfortunately..im faced now with going to my LMs and wondering if i'll be banned from all 5 of my "beachy" spots and forced back to the ten or so odd Dungeon LMs in my inventory. Or worse yet placed on Mute cause people thought i was attacking them..I assure you..I would never attack a place i frequented.(unprovoked)

I go to nude beaches in RL quite a bit. And as Des mentioned, at least half of the folks would remind you of you Aunt or Grandma - not really a pretty picture. But then again, many people think the nudist lifestyle is mostly about sex, rather than just about being au natural.

In any case, most men will cover up or get in the water if they have an erection, but if they walk around flaunting it, most of the time someone will say something and they may even be asked to leave. I think most of that is because nude beaches and resorts go out of there way to ensure that the women feel comfortable and not like they are being sexualized constantly. Heck, many of them won't even let a man come in without a woman with him, whereas women can come in alone. Double Standard there to be sure, but for the most part they have to - there really are a lot of guys that try to go to nude areas simply to look at and pick up the women.

Two thoughts.

1) RL nudism is not sexah usually. Seriously.

2) The correct attitude to wooden spoons is to point and laugh. Harsh? Not really - don't be cheapskate with your prim parts if you want to be out there in public with them!

I'll have nightmares..no really..seeing that made me go into seizures...the only way I could possibly find that remotely attractive was to fantasize being with a wolfman.

I know this thread has sort of strayed from the original question.. , but I thought I'd stick my oar in anyway.

I sort of agree with the beach owner on this one.

I'm not a naturist or nudist myself, but we often spend winter holidays in the Canaries where naturism abounds.

Firstly, as already mentioned, the majority aren't in the first flush of youth, however even so I've not noticed a guy even "semi" aroused so to speak.

At the end of the day, by the time a guy gets past puberty, he pretty much knows what to think about to get it up and what to think about to get it down. Any guy who says he's just too damn virile to control..well as someone else pointed out, there's always the ocean..

Secondly, while I guess becoming involuntarily aroused in RL may be understandable and perhaps the little fella takes you by surprise . in SL there's just no excuse. If you want to frequent a nudist beach.. buy a member that you can deflate.. and if you have one that you can control, then you've clicked the little HUD button on purpose.. and that's just sad...

To be honest, like most things in SL, I think there is some overcompensation which goes on in these places anyway.

If you see an avi which is 7'6 built like Hulk Hogan with an organ you could hit a baseball with.. you're pretty much guaranteed in RL the guy is short, bald, overweight, poorly endowed and lives with his Mum..

Ok, that's my take on the situation.. which is probably unfair and stereotypical... because you know statistically SL does attract the more beautiful members of RL society..
