Never happened to me before, I'm not stylish enough
However, at my prom, three girls showed up in the same dress. Fortunatly they were good sports and all had their pics taken together and got a good laugh out of it. But really, why would it matter? If you really want to be individual and different, it's best to make your own stuff and never sell it. Otherwise, heck, you both have good taste ![]() _____________________

Only if you are in the mud pit, in a thong, to referee. ![]() That, isn't even worth putting out as a dare. You know he'll do it without even asking ![]() _____________________

I've had this happen twice, both at formal dances.
The first time, I got an IM from another woman. She complimented me on my dress and asked where I'd got it. I told her. A while later, she showed up again...wearing my dress! My date and I laughed over that one. Even though I was a little annoyed at being copied, it was flattering, too, in a way. The second time, I spent a long time getting dressed, and I went to the party solo. I was SO embarrassed to find that another girl was wearing the same outfit I'd chosen. What made it worse was that it looked a lot better on her than it did on me. I ran home and changed, then returned to the party. A good move too...I caught the eye of a handsome stranger and picked up a new SL friend that evening. Definitely yes: I will change rather than duplicate someone else. I don't want to be like the endless series of Ruths on OI! _____________________

If you show up somewhere and there is another person wearing the same thing, or another arrives wearing the same thing, do you change clothes or maybe leave or just ignore it (because this is only SL after all)? Panic. That is what I feel. My blood turns cold and I want to run and hide right then and there. It's silly, I know, but it does not change how I feel. Then I feel embarrased for feeling that way which only makes it worse. I have this happen twice so far. So yes, I change. Once she even had the same hair style with a slightly different shade and I was the one who came in second. Right in the middle of the dance floor. I could have died I. I have never been back there since. |

Would be far worse if someone showed up wearing your skin
![]() The same-outfit thing almost happened to me at a recent big formal bash. I had bought an outfit at Nonna's and then at the last minute decided to wear one from Eros. Sure enough, the Nonna outfit, same color, was at the party. Whew!! _____________________
