Had exactly the same, or similar experience. I made an outfit with 4 shirts and Denim skirt. Went to bag them up to place for sale in the mall and when I was checking the perms I saw 2 of the shirts had changed creators name. In fact, they didn't even change to an alt's name they changed to a name of someone on my friends list.

with my alt.
No I wasn't wearing anyone else's nor that person skins, I don't own anything in that account
except Linden and items I have uploaded or made.
Wonder how many people this has happen to by the same person. I've never made a jira myself but tomorrow I will check and see if there is one yet, if not, I will do one because if it's now changing the creators name on clothing textures this isn't acceptable at all. Next, prims? Jeez. |

Let me know if there is Jira or something to vote on I get me and my alts to do it.
Truthfully I didn't report this because I figured it get lost in the other things that are incoming.
Usually when weird things happen to me in world it seems like I am the only one experiencing it and to start think maybe it just me.

The other day, I came across some rideable giant butterflies that come from an "FD". Are these creations yours? They are very nice indeed!

To make a non-prim shape/skin/hair item say you as the creator, you must use the "right-click" .. "new body parts > new hair" function (in your inventory).
It sounds to me like you used some full perm 'base' someone else made... at first, but fully modified and retextured it... but, since you failed to do the "new body parts> new hair" thing in your inventory it says someone else as the creator.
A lot of times this happens with things turning up with "newbie_template Linden" as the creator.. because the skin/shape/hair/eye creator didn't realise the process for making these non-prim items label themself as the creator (and instead used the linden full perm 'base' to make these items..)

The thing is sometimes one will do something they think is right and SL for whatever unknown reason will do the opposite or something totally bizarre
