"beta grid is currently offline as a security precaution"

OK, that's a new one on me. I guess it's dealing with the cache itself. But if it's a case where the item is still in the database, and it's just not getting the info out there to your client (as it appears this method of "recovering it" must be dealing with, as best I can tell), then I see no reason why it would be forced to be lost forever if you don't get this done before the next update of the beta grid.
