I got an IM from a Brazillian lady, and a teleport invite to my home Sim of Auschnar Run. We ran our translators as best we could, and I found that her boyfriend had become frozen while they were flying by my house there. He had logged out, but was stuck in "limbo" over my balcony. She asked if I could try ejecting him -- that didn't work. I turned on damage and they tried to "kill" him with weapons (beating him with a giant pink lollipop -- no joke), but that didn't work either. Meanwhile, about 15 of their closest friends and 2 of mine had shown up, and it was feeling like the Carnivale in Rio on my balcony.

I logged into concierge, explained the problem, and within 5 minutes a Linden appeared, dressed for the party: no shirt and a great mohawk, and he put some kind of energy orb around our friend. That didn't work either, so he told us he would restart the Sim. So I ran that through my Portuguese machine and explained it to everybody, and the party broke up. After a few minutes I got a big thank you and many kisses from my new Brazilian lady friend.

Thanks Lindens! Has anybody else gotten a positive outcome from the powers that be?

Almost All of them in Fact, i've always found the lindens helpful, But if you want something Specific, it was when i was attending an MST 3000 Movie event (A group of people watch a Bad old drive in Movie, and heckle it for fun) when i met Data Linden Dressed as the invader from the movie "Robot Monster" (One of several 50's sci-fi Avies he had. We spent an Enjoyable afternoon Talking about the Old B-Movies (He's a fan also) It was a very enjoyable afternoon.
Part of the Problem SL Players have is they forget the Lindens are Human beings also. They have likes and dislikes, and like us they CAN make Mistakes, and like most people who make a Mistake they DO try to make things better.

Angel.

I'm acquaintances with several Lindens--one of which is a pretty good friend of mine. I have had many positive experiences dealing with Lindens. They are a great group of people. No one incident to list though...

I'm glad you had a positive experience. That's always nice to hear amongst so much negativity.

I had two female Lindens come into my shop once; it was funny to think of them shopping! We chatted for a few minutes; they were very nice ladies. I left soon afterward, so they didn't feel like they were being hounded.

It'd be a lot easier to list the bad experiences than the good ones.

My husband had a good encounter with one once. A few months ago, the region where his store is located was having some problems, although we hadn't really had any. Anyway, a linden came to his store to ask if he was having problems because evidently the club owner 2 parcels away had some issues. He wasn't sure which one it was, but when I came home from work he told me "I met a linden today". I had to laugh at myself later because I said "oohhhh, you met a linden? A real linden? What was he like". You would have thought he had told me he met Brad Pitt while out in our backyard....lol. I couldn't help it, though, I was highly impressed. And even more impressed that it was a proactive linden checking on problems before we had even experienced them.

Actually, the easiest thing is to list the non-experiences when we needed help and could not get it. But let's focus on the positive here. Just for today. On this thread only. For one hour max.

Well he was BLUE .

I was naked - this is the source of my "A linden saw me naked" story, so I suppose its a postive experience since its funny.

There is an obvious comment that could be made that involves "blue" and "men" or specifically a part of the man. I'll refrain from making it, though, are you sure he didn't already know you were naked when he teleported in? :)

Two come to mind

#1) My landlady had just got her second island & just like that another appears right next to hers, it's borders touching hers & shaped as a brand new island is when it arrives. There was one object on it owned by a Ryan Linden & the island said it was claimed in 2004 & now owned by someone with a new account & no payment info. We couldn't get onto the island, it wa slike invisible banlines, so I contacted an online Linden that I thought dealt with concierge land issues, I believe it was Guy tho it may have been Jack, sorry if I got the wrong one! He had the island gone in seconds & no hassle.

#2) Our mainland sim kept going down, three times in quick sucession & Leo Linden came out to check things over & tried his best to help

Thanks Avion for posting this & making me laugh with the lollipop bit!

I was chatting with someone in a in-world club and she mentioned she ran into a Linden and chatted for a bit. Found out she and the Linden person went to the same school and had the same teacher.

Back in the 'olden' days...

Lindens used to have their online status lit up. So when you found a problem or screw up, or some griefer was dicking around, you could send an IM to these Lindens. Every time I did this, a Linden responded and my issue was resolved in a timely fashion. This positive experience has been since negated by the fact that you cant do this anymore. I've previously equated this with the ' Lindens now turn the lights off and hide in the dark house so the trick or treaters wont visit them' analogy.

My Alt ran into one of the Lindens when I first made him/her. We had fun goofing around with gestures & just 'shooting the breeze'. :)

all good experiences
none bad, friends with a few lindens, friendly with a few more

all of my experiences have been positive

one thing I do dislike though and I told my friends too, is when a linden stops by my club to chill and relax, I really hate it when people at the club start bombarding the linden with questions and help requests

they are people too, and they are usually there on their break, please do not pester them.
