With the new client I've built a platform at 4096m, however I had to drop it to 4090m to rez anything on it..like a car..which I drove off the platform (seemed the obvious thing to do really). Some time later when it hit the ground it bounced 90m. I have noticed that with the new client the 'cntrl+shift then drag' to highlight components of a build doesn't work. Makes taking a large unlinked build to inventory rather tricky. I'll report it as a possible glitch. Perre..

I just switched to RC to possibly move a hangout pad/area skybox we had from 400 to 1500m to escape pesky ugly neighbor builds and keep a beautiful clear sky 360 degrees.
However, my pad has a holo-rezzing system for some of the furnishings and beds and such.... and its not able to rez the objects at that altitude currently.
I'm gonna look for a workaround if someone doesn't know one already. If not, you'd probably want to log this one in as a possible issue with your builds at this alt. :3

That's unfortunate because the ability for scripts to rez at that height existed before there were viewers that could edit there. So the rezzing scripts must be explicitly checking the old altitude limit, because if they just went ahead and rez'd as normal, everything would work fine. So, it seems quite likely that the system creator has a patch available--it should be a very, very simple fix for them to make.

Btw, I'm using Skidz Partz open source holodeck scripts. So if anyone knows a fix for it please let me know.
