Look to your favorite books and movies.

Build a dream or a nightmare from them

Or do a schizophrenic mishmash of them blending them together... one part forest glade surrounded by a dark blade runner style city...

A forested Mountainy sim for Riding bikes with campgrounds by lakes that the huge waterfalls flow into. With a Great cemetary and open space to just play. Swings in trees, Roads meandering through the hills and down by the ocean. Great hidaways for couples and exploring.

I would make a Dark Tower-themed sim. Why hasn't anyone done this yet?

I don't believe that. He puts links to fan sites on his official page.

Depends on how the fan sites do it, and yeah I know.

The way I understood it is there are some special concerns with dark tower, since there is supposedly a movie laid out for it.

Plus Darktower is a tricky thing to do, so many environments to use

There's another thread about the Tolkien themed sims losing their land. That group may be able to make you a nice offer to build something great there.

An open-roleplay area, at several levels, each holding a different style of area for RP. It's something my partner and I have been discussing for a while now, but at the moment neither of us has the funds to take on something like that.

A brief explanation: split each level in two. So on the ground level you might have half a sim dedicated to urban RP, half dedicated to steampunk RP. Keep them absolutely divided by a big wall (which in itself could form a part of roleplay, if the players wanted to include a curiosity as to "what's on the other side" into their RP). Next level up (say, 300m) you could have half the level dedicated to medieval RP, half to Blade Runner RP*. Third level up (say, 500m) you could have a whole sim dedicated to a future/space RP, with the whole thing built as a series of linked platforms and discarded spaceship relics, etc.

The basic idea is that people could either stick to their own preferred style of RP and ignore the rest of the areas, or kind of 'Quantum Leap'/'Stargate' between them, maybe using the spaceship as their base, and have their explorations between areas as their overall RP, maybe switching into the relevant character mode once they're in, say, the medieval area, etc.

*We only got so far as discussing how such an area could be laid out, so the actual RP areas themselves would need more research: looking into what would be popular, or what kind of RP is not so well-represented inworld, yet that people would actively want to participate in, should such areas exist.

And Lou Costello. I was going to say Perth Amboy...but The Falls....and Lou Costello popped into my head. And Paterson does have such a fascinating history.

A jungle setting with a 'cursed' cave, à la Indiana Jones.

There would be skulls on sticks on each side of the entrance, and a sign warning people not to enter. You could set up booby traps, and scatter bugs and snakes here and there. Maybe a giant boulder would come rolling down to squish you if you took the wrong turn. Add some tracks with little carts used to haul coal or rocks, and of course, one would be empty and ready to ride in for a short distance (down a small hill?). Sort of an underground maze and quest.

Once you entered, you couldn't leave until you reached the centre of the cave and found certain 'clues' along the way. If you 'touched' some of the bugs, you would have a certain amount of time to find the antidote or cure, before you 'died' and were kicked out of the cave to start over, (a little like in Carnival of Doom). Those who reached the end would receive a Indy Hat or Whip. Of course the person could teleport out if they found it too difficult.
