a child, too bright for her own good, enjoying the company of manufatured friends.
an anthropomorphic clouded leopard, researcher of old lore and useless facts.
a young woman, designer of odd gadgets and other unused geekery.
a dark set of eyes, watching the world but not involved in it.
an android (gynoid to you purists) with no past memories.
A person who spends too much time on web forums.
each with their own fractured little histories...
and all of them 'me'.

From: Ivanova Shostakovich Claire, I just really *looked* at your user title. What is this Drublic and where can I find it? lol. i wish I knew. It is actually the title of an album cover by NOFX. I was just surfing the web, trying not to get splashed, and I spotted it. Thought it was cool so adopted it temporarily. Its a spoonerism of Drunk in Public, even though I very rarely am Drunk in Public, it is a funny sight to behold. Wow! people have done some really nice poetry! Maggie: your siggie rocks! - as usual lol.

Hmmmmm...
Well...Milla is 'me' with a few changling perks. She is what I am in a lucid dream....explorer...capturer of images.... She is human except for the days when she is a bit demonic. It's very hard for me not to be myself in SL.....I like being me...I like helping people...I'm an artist and I like creating.... and I'm also a loner by nature, observer. All of these things are Milla. She is my puppet and the voice in my head come to life. I enter her when communication is necessary..... otherwise she is simply pixels on a constantly evolving canvas.
I would have a hard time with RP....or trying to be something other than who I am.... if I wanted to do that I'd just play HALO or Call of Duty or something. LOL But Milla does all the things I cannot do.....and she has much better hair options which has become central to my existence in SL....as I just recently found out I have Alopecia Areata....and I may wind up having to start a RL collection of wigs. E-gads.... So..Milla is the me I cannot always be IRL....and also, the me I will eventually have to be. *grin*

Honey started SL with a friend who quickly took her out of newbie status by helping her dress, helped her buy land, and then the friend quickly disappeared, leaving Honey alone and friendless. Like most new girls in SL, Honey spent a little time pole dancing and camping, before deciding that pole dancing really wasn't what she wanted to do with her slife. Being beautiful, smart and personable, Honey decided to start hosting at clubs, which she did for quite awhile before working her way into management positions. With the increased income from her jobs, she purchased a UK Couture franchise, and began growing her little empire. Three stores, a nightclub, and an 11,264m piece of land later, Honey is quite content with her slife, and is considering the purchase of a sim to bring all the businesses under one umbrella, so to speak. Honey carries herself (most of the time) so professionally, that sometimes loses sight of the fun in SL, so when she's prodded into remembering there's more to slife than work, she *really* enjoys and appreciates beautiful and fun builds, and the creativity and artistry of others. Never forgetting her roots, Honey gives generously to new residents - clothing, hair, shoes, and occasionally, a little cash, hoping to give the newcomer a good headstart on slife. Because this paragon of virtue can sometimes be a bore...her sister was created, a girl as dark as her sister is light

After 8,000 plus posts, I think it's not hard to figure me out. Having fun and a few laughs is all I'm looking for. enjoying other people creations keeps me busy enough that I don't have to worry about making my own.
I hate poetry, except in a songwriting sense. Although Frost and cummings are kinda cool.

I'm me. I'm my rl self in a prettier package.
I look like a monkey.
I'm generally in IM.
When I come out of there I am a bit of a comedian usually.
I deal with asshats without mercy and have infinite mercy for those who are in need.
I create a sexy atmosphere but rarely benefit from it. Well, maybe that's changed lately.
I am noticed far more when I am gone than when I was there.

From: Joseph Abel Well...currently my AV is a black and gray tiger wearing brass goggles and a backpack...
Quadraped tiger, BTW...not anthropomorphic...
Is that poetic? Certainly not a haiku at present... Sounds cute. You can come over anytime, if I can play with your goggles and pet you.

Completely simple: A stylized, idealized representation of myself, with a better wardrobe.
More complex: Got tired of being appreciated for my mind. Decided to highlight other assets in the virtual setting and thereby re-discover myself as a shameless hussy. *grin*
The basis of the experiment is essentially... if you put a shy girl in low-cut dresses and drop her into casually sexual environments, assuming that the shyness is an issue of social permissions rather than a more deep-seated one, how will it affect her behavior?
Unexpected side effects: I'm slowly becoming less shy and cerebral in RL, and realizing that my body is more than just a vessel for carrying the brain from point A to point B. Also, I've stopped putting my hair in a bun and dressing exclusively in shades of grey. ;P

My avatar was modeled after Brian Griffin from Family Guy. Officially a white dog & red collar for the DMCA enthusiasts out there I've always loved the show - and originally wanted a Peter avatar.... but it wasn't happening. A buddy created this one for me as a gift, and the rest is history almost 4 years later. I don't have a huge clothing inventory, and dread shopping in SL about as much as I do in RL So it worked out kinda perfect - I rarely worry about what clothes I'm wearing, and everyone I know seems to recognize me by it. I've thought about changing it before, but after so many years of having the same avatar, its become part of my identity.

I am a poem in Second Life no one's lover, no one's wife...
***** Worlds apart a love so wrong
But passion would have its way
She a lady born and bred
He, born of dirt and hay
She watched him from afar
As he served her family well
Never daring say a word
To break conventions spell
In the inn where they rested
After the festival of May
Alone at night he whispered
Words he should not say
His hands now served only her
His touch the branding fire
Her heart racing with fear
As he showed her love’s desire
Intimate fingertips grew bold
And wandered on silken skin
He taught her much that dark night
She gave all to him in sin
Animal coupling shadows shown
On the walls of the ancient hall
Fair maiden grew to woman there
As her lover took her all
Crying out in hunger
She rode his manly hips
Moaning urgent supplications
He tasted her lover’s lips
Their bonds were tossed aside
As desire met desire that night
Equal in the dance of love
Equal in passions delight

Max didn't work. I once ended up with the chicken song in my head for about 4 weeks. Nothing would shift it. Not even ceesy xmas songs. I seem to be really stubborn in that regard lol. Amalia. um... wow! Thats a gorgeous poem!

Trout is me, or he's who me would be if I could get away with the crap he gets away with and still be employed and have a place to live. When you talk to me or if we're friends, you get the guy sitting behind the computer, who happens to have once answered to the nickname "Trout" in a simpler time. Im fact, my conversations in RL go a lot like my conversations in SL, only louder. I sort of envy the little bugger because he gets to be a handsome, degenerate playboy while I have to drudge away at work each day, carry around some extra weight (no matter how much I work out and try to eat right) and deal with the early appearance of gray hair (at least it isn't falling out yet).
No poetry, though. I'm no good at it. Maybe I could come up with a dirty limerick. I'm just me, and that's all I have to offer.

I walked through the virtual forest, opportunities branching from my path in every direction. I could follow any road, be anybody, and live any life. I followed a diverging path, then another. Neither led to the peace and wondrous beauty that I longed for. Eventually, the paths led back to the one I was originally on. Of all things that I could be, what I wanted was to be me.
