Take a look at any of the bot threads and you'll see the same people arguing not-entirely-civil-like all the time, and they haven't been banned. What's missing here is a bunch of off-topic forums, and that's good as far as I'm concerned. In fact I don't like that RA is allowed to go off-topic as much as it is. This place also has the best content creation forums anywhere. It has both the critical mass and the expertise to be really useful. Think SLU is freer? True, you do have to try really hard to be banned, but just try disagreeing with any of the golden children and watch the wagons circle. Is that really free?

From: Katrinna Magic It's the people here. Yes, even you, Rock. I would say especially Rock. Some may not agree with his simple suggestion to try SLU. BUT he is a valuable asset who has gone out of his way to help people. That is as much as can be asked of anyone here.

I thought it would take off back when it was thought this forum would be closed. I suspect that one well known very hostile poster helped to drive people away from SL Homepage, but there's no way to tell for sure.
