I can't believe Deandra is doing that, wearing this, feelin those, and still bored..

I have sub folders within my calling cards folder.

One of them is "real friends", and another is "useless"

Drive by friendings (they hit you with a friends offer before saying hello)
or hit-and-run teleports (teleport offer without calling first and saying whats up)
get you put in the useless folder, which I clean out every so often
(when you are not online to complain why I kicked you off my list)

I think it would be great if the communicate popup had a way to sort your friends,
aside from the automatic one of whos online and whos not. It doesnt, so I made
my own setup in my inventory. Now I wish the online indicator was more distinct
in inventory, its like light grey, and lighter grey

I call my useless folder "Trash"

The only problem is that once you accept friendship, they have your calling card forever. I finally had to mute one AV because every week he'd send me an invitation to join some new sex club group. I haven't heard from him otherwise in more than a year and I deleted his calling card months ago.

I just tell them I don't accept friendship offers until I get to know them a bit better and I don't hand out calling cards on first meeting anymore either.

If they get upset or act offended, I just walk away.

I've just thought of this. Why not set up a 'Friends of XXX' group and invite people who offer freindship to join the group instead of go on friends list. That way all your admirers can talk to each other about you in IMs, and you can join in!!!

I tend to friend anyone especially if we are doing something together and its easier to tp someone as a Friend but I tend to remove people I don't hear from for period time, they only contact me because they are promoting event, or I am feeling particularly fragile and I am
concerned I am being pest.
There are people I have offered friendship and refused that is cool too.
I am not so good at refusing friendship request except from random strangers.
I figure the worse that can happen is something annoying happens or I never hear from them again, I can always delete.
I know people but truthfully there very few I hang out and call true friends within SL.
I have small handful that I have known since this avatar was born that I do things regularly with and that we help each other even though often they help me more then I can help them.
Figure that the face have been friends over six months is pretty good thing but I have heard most friendships don't last more then 90 days.
