From: Briana Dawson Wow that term is spreading like wild fire. There's a person on lolcatz with that word as their registered user name... If I can figure out how to save my shape without saving the head (my face is mine) I'd be willing to send it on to anyone free.

The cankle bug has hit me too when I'm in human form - and it's not just the ankles. My thumbs and parts of my hands have sharp spikes like rooster claws. I don't think altering the shape has anything to do with it. I'm wondering if it's because I haven't downloaded the latest viewer. Nothing has changed with the graphics card.
As for writing down or memorizing shapes - I made an Excel spreadsheet for recording the numbers. It kept me straight when I was interested in fiddling with shapes. But then I found the whole shapes thing too tedious for the limited time I have in world.

From: Dawnee Swansong I'll try to fix the shape I have and if that doesn't work, I'll get back to you, if that's OK? Of course, whatever you want! The bug may iron out in a few days by itself anyhow. - About the getting numbers from no mod shapes - I thought they were saying that if you changed shapes from one to the next really quick, the sliders would stick in the same place and if the 2nd shape were no mod you could write down where the sliders were and get the reading from the first no mod shape. Yeah, I know. I feel better (well, clearer at least) after a nap. Lol About recording numbers on shapes you made or mod shapes you like - whatever works for that person. I've written them down on a piece of paper (just put the category and sub categories down too) and also typed them on a note card in SL. It's nice to know if it came down to it I could remake a shape. But, whatever way is easier for the person using a method. Naturally. - Pussycat - Just save your current shape with a name you will remember. I use avatar name and date and if there is more than one mod that date, maybe a short description of each tweak, too. Like Clarissa Shape July 28, 2009, longer legs. Then, go to Inventory, create/body parts/new shape. Wear that new shape. Use all the same numbers from your current shape as you want to be the same. But where you want to change it, then, put it all at 50 or something, in that category/sub category. Or if the shape you have on is yours, you can also just change a bit and then rename it and save with teh 2nd name. Then you will have TWO saved shapes. One that is yours as it is now. And one you can send out. On the one you send out, change the sliders to 50 or something on the head.

how much did you change from the original GND shape? if not much, it would probably be easier to get a new copy from the library and just redo the little tweaks

There are a lot of halfway decent shapes at the freebie places. Oddly those are often better looking than the paid shape shops I've tried.

From: Dawnee Swansong When I logged on to SL this morning, I noticed my av had developed a nasty case of odema in the ankle area .... and nothing I've tried will fix it. I'm thinking it's because I shortened the legs a coupla days ago, and have only just noticed the problem. Because I'm using a system shape (Girl Next Door) I guess I could just switch to the unadjusted one from Library and apply all the numbers I settled on originally? I was wondering if anyone knows a quick way to apply those numbers without having to painstakingly go through and list them all beforehand .... .... or, better still, does anyone have a better solution? Thanks for any pointers here A day or so ago my skin developed the same problem (a purchased skin, by the way). I tried everything, rebaking, putting the skin on again, clear cache and relog. Then after about an hour it returned to normal! The feet went from brown to their normal color all by themselves.
