Huh.. I tried some of these words, and the message I get is that "The results of your search included adult content that can only be accessed with a verified account. Verifying your account is easy and quick - learn how HERE." Well, now. Misleading ftw!
(I am verified btw)

(I am verified btw) You are correct that the error message is misleading. There are two categories of filtered words: "Banned" words, that are filtered no matter what your search settings are, and "Adult" words, that are filtered if your search setting does not include the Adult Content checkbox. You need to verify by one of their two methods (payment info or age) in order to be able to use the adult checkbox. By the way, all the words can still be found by simply adding a comma after the filtered word. It's not just a bad filter from a policy standpoint, it is bad from a technical standpoint, because it is easy to get around.

Excellent! I cut my SL involvement by 4/5ths because of how badly they handled the whole 'adult' thing (I thought they implemented the gambling ban badly but didn't blame them too much because it was a legal requirement). Now that I know just how many perfectly legitimate terms are banned I think I'll launch a range of 'casino games' which work on non-refundable tokens. There being no 'stake' and no 'reward' as such they'll be both complelely legal and completely banned.
After that I think I'll just strap on a cock, haunt the 'corporate' areas and tell them all how SL has become completely awful since M arrived. Fucking hell, I'm already spending more time in these forums than in the cunting world because it's so pissing useless. I'm really looking forward to the first time one of these corporate/educational clients wants to host a 'fun casino/bar night' for their staff and find they can't because of the ridiculous platform rules.

From: Benski Trenkins O.o I see 'slots' so what about 'slot'? In Dutch, a Slot is a castle. Holland's most known is called 'Muiderslot' laughing

From: Ann Otoole So basically LL allows people to run casinos but they are not allowed to advertise casinos. Or is that LL allows their friends/alts/dependents to manufacture, market, sell, and distribute gambling equipment while enforcing the no gambling policy upon people who are not their friends/alts/dependents and to obfuscate this they are going to hide the fact gambling still exists in SL.
That won't stop people from turning over landmarks and screenshots to the authorities and to the "companies" that operate Indian reservation casinos. If LL wants the problem gone from SL they best start at the source and get rid of the people manufacturing gaming systems.
Must be lawyers involved. I can smell them anytime you get near organized crime. settle down ann

From: LittleMe Jewell Now I am really pissed. I was considering a new character for some RPing: "Roulette is a supervillainess in the DC Comics universe" (and a damn hot looking one too) and a good thing I had already decided against the Transformers for RPing: "Roulette is the name of a fictional character in the various Transformers universes" And I guess these guys are just shit out of luck if they want to come to SL: "Roulette is currently the most popular and notorious rock band in Russia and Eastern Europe." LL is really going sooooo overboard. Try naming her Ruelette.

From: Brenda Connolly Try naming her Ruelette. Roulete: works, 1 search result from apparent misspelling Roolette: works, 1 search result from apparent misspelling R0ULETTE: (using a zero instead of letter O) works, zero search results (finding alternates that work can be a new game LOL)
