Ah D Day. Still the amount of user groups available hasn't scaled well with the amount of extra users and therefore extra interests available.

I don't think the issue is messaging in groups anyway, as people can conference call to their friends list.

You lost me now..........

ANYWAYS............I would like to have atleast 5 more groups added. Since they are adding more members why not just add more groups as well.

I would love to add more than 25 groups – but only if we have the ability to mute group chat.

I have given up on LL group tools. I use the Subscribe-o-matic by MSo Lambert. One touch and they are members. You can send notices and objects to members. MSo is working on more advance,ents to allow you to send to certain titles in the group and to have Sub-groups within a group. If LL made sub-Grouping available then we would not need 25 groups.

Maybe that's another good use for alts. If your alt can belong to 25 groups as well as you, then that's 50 groups, as long as you don't rely on each other to be that vital second member to keep group going, in which case it would still be only 25!

A few stores I know are using it and it's just plain awful and crude.

There's no way to check past notices, it's far too easy to miss a notice since it just scrolls by, you won't see it if your IMs cap and half the time I won't get any "attachment" delivered.

It wasn't all that long ago that they raised it from 15 to 25. Who knows when they will raise it again
And that increase took years of petitioning LL. I suspect that it involved far more work then changing the line:

#define MAX_GROUPS 15

Lets see 15 groups that was back in later 2005 right? and the increase to 25 was mid 2006.
