Unless you paid someone directly, other than by or through Second Life, by credit card payment which *can* be challenged, you're just out of luck. Okay, firstly, LL won't do anything about this. They don't like getting involved with user/user disputes. You can't -really- AR this as a scam in SL, because the cam session itself was supposed to take place outside of SL.. namely via MSN, which the Lindens have absolutely no control over and cannot recover proof that it did or did not happen. Basically, it boils down to your word against his/hers and LL really hates dealing with those.
This leaves you with dealing with RL authorities and lawyers and for them, you'll need proof that of what was supposed to take place and that it did not. What sucks here is that this route would probably cost you more than you lost to the con artist. I hate to say it, but your friends boned themselves but good. This is one of the hazards of trying to do the naughty on the internet.. and especially true via SL, where a L$ transfer can only be contested in easily proven hacks or scams. IF they paid via credit card, they might be able to contest it. Paypal.. I don't think so, since I don't think they cover virtual goods? _____________________

Put it this way.even if a Linden was watching both of you talk about this arangment and hearing this whole conversation.. they would not do anything. even if they saw the transaction happen in general chat..you paid such and such so many $L.. Why? Because for one it is a resident vs resident dispute two you cannot prove in any way on earth it never happend because it was to take place out of SL..even titanium clad proof you are out of luck..
