Why do noobs buy land next to yours, immediately put ban lines up then start building plywood monstrosoties at 300m where the ban lines don't reach?

Answers on a postcard please.....

False sense of security? One mans' trash is another mans' build?

...If and when I buy a little 512 plot, look out! If there's no covenant, you're likely to see a shanty one day, a lily pond the next, and 117 plywood torus the day after that...
I made a giant cookie jar! =^-^=

You don't have to believe it... But this snapshot contains no less than 4 different mainland parcels. No covenant necessary... Just like minded people saying "Hey, I want in on that!" (^_^)y

We have a shanty, a pond, a half-demolished bridge and the rusted out wreck of the delivery truck that demolished it, a trailer, telephone poles, signs nailed up on the telephone poles, a power generator complete with oversized coppertops, and a bsted irrigator spraying water everywhere... and people are willing to spend L$20k for a 512 on auction just to live next to us. It takes all kinds.

No plywood toruses, but for a long time we had a fully-primmed 4th or 5th degree (I don't recall offhand) 3d Sierpinski tetrahedron... used up most of the prims on a 1/4 sim parcel.

I don't like ban lines either - but after having a constant stream of intruders rezzing themselves into my living room, usually while I was changing clothes...
Set a landing point...

One cute trick is to trade a 16m corner with someone on the other side of the sim, then rejoin it into your parcel, and set your LP there. That way people teleporting into your parcel and up half the sim away (and all confused).
