I don't want to validate the original poster with another complaint, but...

I asked this in IM on the hippotechnologies group but no one answered: Does anyone know why my boxes rotate 90 degrees when a tenant pays the box? This wouldn't be a big deal if I used a literal box, but I made it into a flat "for rent" sign, and it looks silly after it rotates -- I'm constantly having to go rotate them back.

I do love using Hippo -- do NOT try to use the prim counter, particularly in a hi-rise, but so far they've been otherwise very reliable handling the payments.

Make sure both Change Size on Rent and Change Shape on Rent are off.
My standard-issue boxes used to rotate 90 degrees too. Probably their default setting. I recently changed the boxes into neat little boards, so I no longer wanted the rotation... and I managed just that by turning both aforementioned options off.

Dear OP,

having been a landlord who used the HippoTech rental system for several months I cannot but wonder whether you are actually up to being a landlord.

If the inability to read and apply the manual for a powerful and well-designed, albeit complex, product elicits such emotional outbreaks, I doubt that you will get along well with tenants. Unfortunately some of these turn out to be (how shall I put it) not exactly the sharpest pencils in the drawer.

I'm going to hope that the feedback you (the OP) have gotten has helped you resolve the issues because I am locking this; the OP crosses the line into PD. Asking for help configuring a product is one thing but badmouthing it is another.
