Actually it's the RL equivalent of teenagers in their parent's basement thinking anti-social behavior on the intarwebs makes them cool. They're here instead of in WoW because Mom won't let them have a monthly subscription. I monitor my teen on the Internet, and those kids are brutal! Kids I know are nice in RL are monsters online. You are so correct. _____________________

I'm brand new to this game. I just logged in for the first time about 10 minutes ago. While I as trying to make sense of the UI two players approached and started to verbally insult and call me names I won't repeat here. Is this the norm for this game? I was curious about this game from reviews I had read and thought I'd give it a shot. However if this is a common occurance I won't be back. There is going to be idiots who will do this, but you can mute them.... please do. Dont let a few jackasses ruin your chance to become addicted like we all are!! Welcome to second life!! Get out of the help stations firstly, all those places are festering boils of idiot griefers (people who have nothing better to do than give people grief) MOST of us in SL are willing and happy to help new people find their way... It is a shame that the first thing new people see is that crap.. And no it doesnt happen everywhere I would say the majority of places it is very nice. |

I find most people in SL to be very friendly. I see you only have 1 post, so either this is a fake post of somebody's alt, or you may have already given up. But if you're out there and this was real, there are a lot of nice people in SL, and let me know if you need help finding some of them. Once you get on the right path, you'll be stumbling over nice people left and right. _____________________

Maybe they should just feed everyone through resident managed welcome areas? If every new resident was dropped in the currently lowest traffic NCI hub, SL would be a much better place, with probably 2 to 3 times as many people actively using it. _____________________
