Alt Avs are a fascinating way to explore and develope characters. I write fantasy, horror and sci-fi. SL gives me the opportunity to have several 3D characters plotted out. They grow, they approach the same situation/another av in a different manner. It's a fascinating psychological study of the mind & compartmentalization.
It is. I noticed that I can't fully act like myself in my alts, especially one of them who seems to have a different personality all his own. I open two viewers and "talk to myself" and apparently the personality change is enough that I have people questioning me if it's REALLY an alt. I guess I get into character really well? None of my alts act like Kira..

This might be the most interesting use of alts I've read about. I have my different personalities for home, work, and teaching. I have never thought of using alts to explore my ideo-syntrinsic nature.
