Well I went over just now and did my bit for the SL economy... Dragon, Varies, a Flying book, asstd other thises and thatses...thnk the books a freebie or damn close

As inexpensive as the avatars are there why would anyone feel the need to steal them?

Grendels is one of my favorite places in SL, I own almost every single one of the AV's there and I don't think I've ever paid more than 300L for one.

Its amazing and the quality and attention to detail is amazing.

I'm so relived its not closing, it would be a huge loss to SL.

I bought the wolf, the treant, avarian shaman (but I only use some of the clothing and my own skin for it) dark fae (same deal) and grunge angel (same again, only some).

They are awesome.. I will go back today and check out a dragon (are there any large dragon avatars?)

I agree 110%. I went there and loaded up with Avitars a few days ago. I was impressed with the amount of work in these things and super low prices. Anyone that would steal their content probably molests children in RL.

very true, the people tha sell avatard for ovr 5000L (about 22 bucks in United States currency) is greedy, i mean, no offense, but if its jus tfor an avvie, i dont wanan spend over 1000L

I've talked to Flea a few times (including earlier today) and they're one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The scumbags doing this are jealous that they don't have anywhere near the talent that Flea has, and so are trying to run Flea out of business so people will buy their shoddy merchandise. Don't let them get away with this. Report any copies you find or anyone badmouthing Grendel's Children.

I'm there right now. Place is *huge*. Last time I went, it was a ravine of sorts.

Lots of people here right now. Well over a dozen. Quite a bit of shouting going on.

I felt kind of out of place because I'm wearing a regular avatar. Just had to buy a razorback rat and put it on to fit in. I'm scurrying all over the place looking at everything. Prolly buy a few more things to show support.

It's sad that anyone would target them using unfair tactics... but every time I think I've seen the lowest common denominator on the grid, I get surprised anew.

This would have been awful. I'm glad Grendel's is staying open. To me, this is one of the defining stores in SL. There are certain things that you can look at and say, "That's what makes SL what it is." Grendels is fantastic!

Yes, I'm glad to hear Flea has decided to hang in and keep the Avaria sims open. They've done an amazing job with their underground caverns and landscaping that's always been open to all to enjoy. Their store is beautifully built and textured and their avatars are some of the best-made bargains on the grid. What a selection as well! They've got something for everyone there.... and more.

I'm so glad that was a false alarm. I went there for the first time last night, and had no idea that it was almost the last time it would have been available. I got some things, but held off buying several because they're no-transfer and I want them for an alt. I'll have to get back soon.

I got a brain freeze, reading those Group msges, and glad Flea recanted their decision,
ya know they did it mostly for us! I've seen it time and time again, content creators overwhelmed by ppls ripping them, declaring "Enough!"
I couldn't imagine post-Grendels! And glad a friend introduced me to Grendels!
Flea is awesome, a non stop brilliant creator w/ what seems to be an unlimited imagination, no nonsense approach but knows how to have fun, frank, business savvy, couldn't be any nicer person, who has a great staff of very creative ppls.
The sims are awesome and you really can't go there w/o a much added to Inventory upon leaving.

I went there for the first time today. Lovley items - couldn't seem to find bird avi's - and with the name of the sim - I was expecting them! Any clues as to where they are?

I'm always pretty lost when I go there. I usually find the birds (Birdworx) really quickly, though. They _have_ been moving things a lot recently... There's a replica of the store not too far from where you land that helps.

Found it this time, got a parrot.... must not buy more.... must not.......

I use the little map thing near the landing point. 'course, I also usually go from there right up to the misc. avvies, which always amuse me.
