From: Ceka Cianci it would be called CHEESEPIE if it was a PIE!!!! the real question should be what kind of cheese do you use to make this cake? can you make an american cheesecake and mozarella cheesecake? or is the whole thing just a scam and it is a pie with no cheese in it? The world may never know............. Uhm a mozarella cheesecake is a Pizza PIE. You should use Cream Cheese for a cheesecake, preferablly Philadelphia Brand.(tm)

types of cheese are different in different parts of the world. It should usually be a cream cheese, and the normal one used is Ricotta. (see wikipedia link above) I have made a Philly cheesecake before and it was delish! yummy!

From: Morgaine Alter What if you made it with the phili cream cheese in a shell? You don't use a shell, you use graham cracker crumbs mixture. I think I will make a blueberry one tonight. <drool smiley inserted here>

To be truthful, I don't even like cheesecake all that much. I prefer Key Lime Pie.

I sat down with a piece and sent a picture to my friends who were enduring a snowstorm back in Jersey.

To add further confusion to this, I'd like to point out that I have invented the Chocolate Pudding Cheesecake Pie (I invented it, I get to name it).... Katt's Choco-Pudding Cheese Cake Pie! 1/4 cup cocoa 1 cup sugar 1 8oz package softened cream cheese (Phily, not the cheap stuffs) 1 3.4oz box CooknServe Chocolate pudding 1.5 - 2 cups milk (Substitute 1/2 for whipping cream for heavy cake!) Mix cocoa and sugar together unil lumps are smoothed. Bring milk nearly to boil over medium heat. Whisk in sugar and cocoa. Cut cream cheese into small pieces and mix into milk. Whisk over heat until cream cheese completely melts. WIldly wisk in pudding until disolved. Poor imedeately into pie crust or bowl, refrigerate for 3-6 hours or until completely set. Put it in a crust if you want, I ussually just eat it out of the bowl with a spoon.
